What a wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts and wonderful place to stay and explore! First of all, the accommodation can be described as a Perfection in everything. Clean, tidy, organised, so many attention to details! We had a welcome basket so kindly prepared. The hosts offers everything you need and beyond. My husband and I are so impressed with the honest, genuine advert of the accommodation that the reality show it even better! One thing that make us so happily surprised was the House guide with all information needed about the house, restaurants, emergency, etc. It reflects the spirit of kindness and organisation the hosts have. The place inside and out is absolutely stunning and peaceful. We will come back there as soon as possible, for more than 3 nights. For bikers, after a long day of ride, it is so important find a place like that when you come back for rest and relaxing. About Northumberland is a place which beauty is to die for!

The Lake View Cottage was perfect. Clean, quiet, has parking and a beautiful view of The Hirsel lake and all the birds. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of storage for clothes in the rooms. It was lovely waking up and The Homestead Cafe being right outside for a tasty fuss-free breakfast or lunch. I grew up in Coldstream so it was nice to show my son and husband where I used to walk with friends who lived around The Hirsel. Very peaceful for walks and safe for little ones on a scooter. The Cottage also had underfloor heating in the bathroom which was lovely. Already planning next years trip.

What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. The house was perfect for our needs and or wee dog enjoyed the garden and grounds very much. The views from the house and garden are fabulous. We walked locally which was brilliant and walked around nearby Holy Island too. The house was spotless and well equiped. We hope to be back again, and for longer next time.
