Lovely house in an extremely convenient location. A very quick walk to the shops which have all you need. Parking on the road was easy and we were grateful for the parking permit the hosts organised. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.

The Perch is a delightful apartment, fully equipped with all you need for a restful stay, very clean and furnished to a high spec. It is very central with lots of independent restaurants and tearooms catering for all tastes. Louise and her husband Richard were wonderful hosts. We had an unexpected issue with the shower and they moved heaven and earth to fix the problem. This was our first visit to Lyndhurst and The Perch but it will certainly not be our last.

We had a comfortable stay with our 5 month old. Spacious bathroom and clean throughout. Good instructions for check in and friendly communication. It is a top floor apartment and the stairs are quite shallow, so perhaps not suited to anybody not steady on their feet. Little bit of street noise but this was to be expected in such a fantastically central location on the main high street.

The apartment is in the center of the village which is where you want to be. Walk to pubs, tea rooms, restaurants and stores in less than 2 min. The apartment has a lockbox with keys to the front door of the building and the front door of the apartment. There is a very slow lift that takes you directly into the apartment, or you can walk up two flights of stairs to the front door to the flat and then walk up two more flights to the main living area. We used the lift for our suitcases, but otherwise always took the stairs. The lift requires a code and the simultaneous pushing of buttons, but it's handy for heavy bags or if you've got mobility issues. So nice to have two bathrooms, though there are some quirky things about both. Due to the ceiling heights, the master bath doesn't have a shower, and there isn't a mirror. There's a small mirror on the bedroom dresser. The second bedroom has really low to the ground twin beds. They'd be lovely for little kids but were awkward for us.
