My apartment is situated in the trendy “Prenzlauer Berg” neighborhood. The apartment is on the 1st floor (Amer. 2nd), facing the quiet inner yard, well lit through two large French windows. The view features a restored factory and studios. The studio area is 40 square meters in size, contains a double bed, a mini kitchen containing everything to chill and cook. The studio has a lucid corridor and a luxury bathroom containing a shower and bathtub and underfloor heathing. The entire apartment is 60 square meters in size and tastefully furnished, mixing modern and classic design notes. Fast internet is available. The neighbourhood is very well liked and one of the trendiest in Berlin. Bakeries, coffee shops, bike rentals, public parks and a supermarket are in the immediate vicinity. The world renowned “Mauerpark” with its many attractions and flee market (on weekends) is 15 minutes by bike. The street is nonetheless quiet, situated between two large boulevards, with fantastic public transportation to the ariports as well as other central landmarks, and quarters, such as Alexanderplatz, the East Side Gallery, Mitte, Friedrichshain etc. You can walk to the Kastanienallee und Alte Schönhauser Allee, two hip shopping boulevards. A lot of young people live here, I am sure you will love it!

You can swim in the Reichenower Lake (3km) or in the Grosser Thornowsee. If you don't have a car, you can get there by bus or bicycle (18km) from Straussberg Nord station. Die Wohnung liegt in einem stilvoll 2023 ausgebauten alten Bauernhaus im Naturschutzgebiet der Schorfheide, und ist nur 2 Gehminuten vom See, an dem man ruhig und entspannt baden gehen kann, entfernt. Zum Haus gehört ein Ruderboot, welches gegen Gebühr (10 €/T.) benutzt werden kann. Von der große Außenterasse kann man Kraniche und Störche in der zum Hof gehörenden Wiese beobachten. Das Kloster Chorin und das Ökodorf Brodowin sind jeweils mit dem Auto in 15 Minuten (Fahrrad 30 Min.) zu erreichen.

Zum Birkenhof gehören mehrere Hektar Land mit Wiesen, Obst- und Gemüsegarten und unserem kleinen Birkenhain, der dem Hof seinen Namen gab. Das Bauernhaus eignet sich ideal für Familien oder kleine Gruppen. Das Bauernhaus kann auch zusammen mit dem Stallgebäude und Waschhaus gemietet werden.
