Walden is located in the middle of the unique backdrop landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded banks surround the meadows. With grasslands, water and patches of forest in between. It looks cosy, those grasslands between the trees. Smûk, as we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area was also gifted with pingos from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 National Parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. An ideal area for cycling and walking.

Welcome to our spacious house, located in a quiet neighborhood and suitable for 8 adults and a small child or baby. The house has four comfortable bedrooms and a spacious back garden, ideal for families or groups of friends. Guests are allowed to use all available facilities. A cot and high chair are available for the little ones. The town centre of Dokkum is only a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk away, and offers cosy shops, terraces and attractions.

Rural location on the Elfsteden route, on the edge of the Leeuwarder forest we rent out our "6 person coach house". The former coach house we have converted into a beautiful apartment and is next to our farm with private terrace on the south.
