Guest house holiday rentals in Cairns

Great place for a great price, definitely recommend! The cutlery were slightly dirty but we were provided with all the necessary soaps and tools to clean them. The location is somewhat convenient, but everything is around a 20-30 minute walk away. There is a bus stop which will take you to beaches. The room itself was clean, some dust but manageable, the bathroom were clean and amenities were provided.

A rainforest retreat is how I see Melissa's. We loved the lounge room outside, it was comfortable and cool. Outside is a beautiful area. The bed was comfortable and we had all that we needed.

Lovely cabin backing onto the rainforest and river. John was the perfect host, gave a fiendly tour around the property then we returned to the cabin with fresh hot cross buns waiting for us. They have obviously given a lot of thought into everything that we might need or want to make our stay as comfortable as possible because it was all there, and some. The area was a post card and it was so nice to come back to such a well appointed little cabin in the forest after a day of exploring the tablelands.

Jan's cottage is absolutely beautiful. The view from the living room of the surrounding mountains are stunning. Babinda Creek is absolutely magical and only a short walk from the cottage. Our dogs had plenty of space to run around. Such a relaxing holiday.

From the moment you enter, you feel like royalty. It is a beautiful place to stay, and so many little extra touches are added to make you feel right at home. James and Elisa and very quick to answer any questions and are very accommodating.

Super beautiful location. My weekend was spectacular from Babinda Boulders to this beautiful little home. It was small but so comfortable. I was able to spend quality time bonding with my friends, having a shared dinner and some drinks. The hosts were so lovely and communicated everything clearly.

Lovely private and peaceful space with great hosts! Very nice spot with birds, wallabies, sound of the water in the creek. Very peaceful and relaxing, lits of good hikes and things to do around. Thanks for a great stay!

The place is perfect for couples. Great view of the great mountains from the house...felt like we were back to pristine nature for a few days! The contact person was very helpful and responsive. Location is great as it is a short walk to restaurants, the Botanical Gardens and short drive to the city.

My partner and I spent the weekend here and it was so lovely, we saw 2 tree kangaroos and lots of turtles. Greg and Lisa are super friendly hosts with a beautiful property. would definitely stay here again

Natalie's place was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the nearby attractions like Yungaburra and Lake's Eacham and Barrine. Natalie was a very generous host she stocked up the fridge with breakfast food as well as pod coffee and a selection of tea. The verandah was lovely with hanging baskets and Balinese decor as well as a hammock! We enjoyed having breakfast out here. We didn't know there would be a pizza oven but will keep that in mind for next time. We thoroughly recommend staying ar Natalie's place! Thank you so much for the hospitality!

This was our second stay here as we loved it so much the first time we came back again. Walkamin is an easy drive to Atherton and Mareeba and all the Tablelands has to offer and this cosy little cabin is so quiet, great for a sleep in and wake up to birds chirping outside. We went out for most of our meals (a holiday treat) but our host kindly left brekky staples and milk in the refrigerator had we needed them. It's so relaxing to sit out front on the little deck and drink coffee while watching the cows in the paddock. The securely fenced, neat little grassy yard was perfect for my small dog to focus her laser attention on the cows without her being able to harass them. There are markets on somewhere in the Tablelands every weekend and we enjoyed visiting the huge Yungaburra markets on the Saturday, walked the labyrinth at Mt Molloy, and then enjoyed coffee and a scone provided by the CWA ladies at the Wondecla markets on Sunday.

great place to stay to explore Cairns and FNQ. we really enjoyed the resort set up and the easy check in and onsite facilities including car parking and restaurant

So peaceful and relaxing with everything you need for a short term or long term stay - immaculately clean and beautifully manicured and maintained surroundings. Lots of room throughout the house and outdoors. It was only my hubby and I staying but would accommodate a family very easily. Michael and Lydia are lovely hosts who answered any queries we had within minutes. Totally enjoyed our stay and will definitely put on our 'stay again' list! Thank you Michael and Lydia. ❤️

We really enjoyed our stay at Jen's place, it's clean, private and perfect for a couples retreat. The proximity to a railway station, restaurants and cafe's is convenient. Jen communicated clearly and promptly at each step and we look forward to staying again in the future.

Alan and Lou were nice to chat to and gave us some good local information. Their place is lovely. It’s well equipped, comfortable and with smashing views. We loved watching the birds going about their daily business from the veranda. A bonus was the washing machine which we used several times. We went to Yorkeys Knob for the beach and BBQ and we also had a day out on the Atherton tablelands which is very pretty. We would love to return to Alan’s and Lou’s place again.

Michelle’s place is absolutely tremendous—a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Nestled in a stunning location, the surroundings are peaceful and scenic, with the occasional kangaroo sighting just down the stairs, adding a magical touch to the experience. The home itself is immaculately clean, tidy, and very well maintained. Michelle provided clear, thoughtful instructions and was incredibly patient and helpful throughout. I truly loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to unwind in nature without compromising on comfort. A memorable and rejuvenating stay!
