Great stay at Mel’s place! Casita was super clean and lots of room. Plenty of space to park and Mel was quick to come welcome us. He walked us through all the ins and outs and then let us be for the next couple days. Had some boat trailer issues and Mel was willing to lend tools and parts off his own trailer! Super nice guy and we really appreciated it. River was close and lots of wildlife around. Quiet and private which was great. Only bummer was that the water release schedule had changed so the channel behind the place was dry a lot of the times and couldn’t launch the boat. Caught a ton of bass up on the Parker Strip though!! Overall highly recommend staying here!!! Thanks Mel.

Erika was a great host! Beautiful home, nice amenities, and peaceful location. She was incredibly responsive and 10/10 would stay again.

This is a modular home and a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path. I appreciated the local store for odds and ends. It is on the low end of the river and there are a few public outlets to get to the river inside the community. It was so nice to have two bathrooms and my roommate and I actually appreciated the lack of central heat because I was able to use the space heaters to warm my space while she was using the air conditioner to cool hers! The little extras were so nice… the bikes, the fact that there was wood for the fire pit, the grill was really clean, coffee, tea, oil, and seasonings… laundry detergent. Our stay was very comfortable. My only recommendation would have been thicker mattresses and having a blender.
