Dive into the plunge pool with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea. For adventurous travelers who will appreciate the 10-minute panoramic walk to the house (we will transport your luggage and groceries by tractor). The magical view of the world below with the coast on the horizon which can be enjoyed from every room of the house and from the entire olive orchard with its walking paths and plunge pool with waterfall. Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

Peace & Quiet In A Tuscan Hill Top Discovery

Gioviano is a small quiet medieval village 25 kms from the walled city of Lucca in the Garfagnana. The house is peacful and in the heart of this beautiful Tuscan village, if you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. We are 50 minutes from Pisa airport on the SS12 route. The location is perfect for summer or winter. In summer you can reach the sea, in winter ski in the hills. All year round you can explore the region by foot, bicycle, motorcycle or car.

The property is located on top of a very panoramic hill, near the medieval village of Sillico where is located also a very good restaurant. Perfect accommodation for romantic couples, families with children with their dogs. Perfect place to relax but also suitable for guests who like active holiday with many exiting trekking, canyoning, mtb and horse riding excursions. Nice panoramic pool and view on the entire valley. The house is a rustic stone and wood house in the Apuan Alps park, an ideal place for those who want to take walks in the woods and get to know and visit the attractions of Versilia and Tuscany between the sea and mountains. Two-room apartment located in a courtyard house, consisting of an entrance bedroom with a double bed and armchair-bed, kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Independent entrance. The only room shared (with us) is the laundry room which is in a separate room. The free parking is on the street (20 meters from the door of the house) There is no garden but you can sit outside maybe for a drink.
