Guest house holiday rentals in Canals of Amsterdam

Fred and Kelly’s place is absolutely wonderful. We stayed because the price was better and there was a little more room than many places directly in the city. Though we looked forward to it, we didn’t expect to fall in love with it…and we did! Staying outside of the city is pretty great. It’s a 10ish minute walk to the train station, and then an easy navigation to wherever you need to go. We didn’t mind the “commute” a bit, and it was nice to start off and wind down in a quieter setting. The place itself is well kept, clean, and cozy. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good pressure. We enjoyed casting Netflix on the TV with the fireplace on in the evenings, and we spent a couple of mornings in the garden. We booked this spot our entire stay, but also spent one night in Amsterdam to experience “city life,” and also spent one night in Utrecht. These were perfect additions to our home base plan. I’d definitely stay here again!

Perfect place to stay for a relaxing family getaway! We had a wonderful time in the little back cottage of Ron and Conny! The two are incredibly hospitable, helpful and attentive – we felt immediately welcome upon arrival. Particularly nice was how sweet Ron and Conny were to our daughter, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The place is not only very clean and cozy, but also ideal for families with infants. The location is just great: just around the corner there is a small lake with ducks, geese and goats – perfect for a short walk or a short break. The beautiful pedestrian zone with its nice cafes and shops is a short walk away, and the dunes and the sea are also wonderfully quickly accessible. Very nice and cozy cottage, in the middle of the garden surrounded by tulip fields. Quiet location with a private terrace. Everything is sparkling clean and perfectly furnished. We felt comfortable from the first moment. We had bicycles with us and were allowed to park and recharge them in the shed. Great. Ideal starting point for bike rides in all directions. Depending on your mood through the dunes at one of the magnificent beaches or into one of the beautiful cities of Alkmaar or Haarlem. Always lined with flower fields. Ton and Marian were very friendly hosts, unobtrusive, but always available for questions. We will be happy to come back.

Probably the best AirBNB I’ve ever stayed at. I took full advantage of the bikes provided and biked to the station to get to Utrecht both days. A great place to come back to after a long day exploring the city.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb in Amsterdam! The location is absolutely perfect—everything we wanted to see was within 20 minutes, and the walks never felt long because there’s so much charm and beauty along the way. Plenty of restaurants right outside the front door. We recommend LAVASH for beautiful food. The ground floor apartment was ideal for us, especially traveling with a 1-year-old, a stroller, and quite a bit of luggage. Super easy access, which made coming and going stress-free. Inside, the space was bright and spacious with lots of natural light, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. We’d absolutely stay here again!

nice place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. everything was nice and tidy

This is an exceptional Airbnb. It's located in a lush rural town, yet is only 15 minutes by car to Amsterdam city center and near Edam ( like the cheese). It is a safe neighborhood with lovely gardens, a small grocery store and restaurants. Our hosts were kind, generous, friendly and helpful. We were there on the King's birthday and the grocery was closed, so they kindly picked up some breakfast items for us in the next town. Upon arrival there was a bottle of wine, local bakery goods and coffee. Edith is an amazing and accomplished artist which reflected in the home's decor. The home was immaculate! The beds comfortable! The linens top quality! The kitchen well equipped! The coffee/tea station had an espresso maker and a milk frother! We were a group of 5 woman and there was plenty of room for us to stretch out and not get in each other's way. We had the best time at Edith's place. This is the best Airbnb I've stayed at and I think I have stayed at over 50! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dennis received us in a very friendly way and explained everything to us. With the bathroom you have to be a little careful as you have to go a high step. But otherwise a nice accommodation for 2 people with practical amenities. Egmond-Binnen is a few minutes' walk away, as is a supermarket. Be sure to eat an ice cream in the ice cream parlor in Indoor! Egmond by the sea is easy to get to by bike or car. A beautiful weekend with a fantastic view of the colorful tulip field.

We had a very nice time in this Airbnb, everything was clean, nice, very good communication with the hosts despite the language barrier and very responsive . Thank you, the decoration is of very good taste and the bedding is clean and very comfortable. The place is peaceful if you are looking for a little tranquility just a few miles from Amsterdam . After that, Amsterdam is very expensive as a city for the slightest activity. Good time all the same with beautiful touches from our hosts like a bottle of wine, a nice arrival card and eggs for Easter 🐣 ( small touches that given the price of the studio may seem normal but that not all do) . Responsiveness to requests was much appreciated, quality products for the shower🚿, and functional kitchen equipment in short everything was perfect one thing Bravo keep it up! Super cute place within walking distance to the beach and the dunes. Lots of beach restaurants also easily accessible. Would go back!

Wonderful spot for a quiet getaway. The suite is decorated so beautifully I felt I’d entered another time. The garden is exquisite and gorgeous to wake up to. Jeanne was responsive and helpful with local reccs.

Great host, perfect dwelling nothing to say

Highly recommend. Great place to stay, our boys (5, 13, 15) had plenty to do with the toys/games provided and the home cinema/Playstation. The surrounding area is beautiful and great for walks, mountainbiking, sightseeing, museums, … The place was nicely decorated and the beds were great. The kitchen is basic so don’t expect to do complicated cooking but the appliances are new and what I was missing, the hosts very kindly provided when asked. They were very responsive, friendly, proactive. Overall a great experience, and we’d love to come back.

We had a wonderful time at this charming apartment in Limmen! The place was not only clean, but also tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Everything was exactly as described and the quiet location contributed to a very relaxing stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking much easier for us. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great tips for the area. Overall it was a very nice stay and we can highly recommend this apartment.

Our stay was just beautiful! The place was not only beautiful and very clean, but also furnished with an incredible amount of love for detail – you feel welcome from the first moment. The hosts were fantastic: warm, helpful, and always trying to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We felt completely comfortable and will be happy to come back at any time. Absolutely recommended – five stars are almost too little!

Loved Tjerk & Erik’s stay right on the countryside near Utrecht. We stayed for 1 night, but wish we planned for longer. The property was perfect to wind down & enjoy the scenery with company (and animals!). Would definitely come back!

This place is a great alternative for those who want to be close to Amsterdam (30 minutes by public transport, with the train station right in front of the accommodation and free parking for vehicles). And the opportunity to visit the area without the traffic jams of the big city Our host was as discreet as it was efficient I'll be back with great pleasure.
