We had a wonderful holiday at Casa da Janela! The house is beautiful, very welcoming and perfect for family moments. It was impeccably clean, well-equipped and full of small details that made us feel truly at home. The countryside is simply relaxing — with a breathtaking view of the mountain and the sea. The smooth noise of the waves and absolute quiet were the perfect setting to recharge energy. The location is excellent: isolated enough to ensure total peace of mind, but close to everything we needed. A big thank you to hosts, who have always been attentive and available.

We had a fantastic stay at Betty’s apartment. The house itself is really spacious, comfortable and kitted out with everything you need including high end appliances. The location is amazing. 10 mins on the bus into Funchal, centrally located for access to the whole island by car, and if you want to stay local you can walk to many restaurants, swimming pools, beaches etc. Betty is a great host, friendly and responsive at all times. Highly recommended!

We had a great experience at Raquel's! The balconies make for a phenomenal view over Funchal, and on clear days you can even see the Pico do Aiero peeking between the hills in the distance. There's a cafe downstairs from the apartment that isn't tourist overrun and allowed for peaceful breakfasts and coffees. Yes, the place is located next to a dog grooming service which means there may be excessive barking on occasion; however, considering that Funchal is a very loud and active city, only hearing dogs on occasion is very peaceful as compared to the heart of downtown 😁. Overall, this apartment was wonderful and we had a great stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Woodlovers property. It was clean, beautiful, private, quiet, and an oasis from home while on vacation for 10 days in Madeira. Our hosts were so communicative. We felt well guided before, during and after. Thank you for all the recos. Wouldn’t reco a better stay while visiting this beautiful island.

One of our best AirBnBs ever. Exactly as advertise, Sofia's place is large, comfortable and beautifully situated. Jardim do Mar is our favourite spot on our favorite island. Would return to Sofia's place again and again - unfortunately next year renovation is planned but the current house is wonderful. Sofia is extremely helpful and responsive - I don't remember ever waiting more than 15 mins for a response. Our 5 weeks stay flew by. Highest level of recommendation.

Ronaldo greeted us when we arrived, they were very responsive and even sent local recommendations like restaurants and activities. The apartment was ideal, it was spotless, the scenery was amazing and it was even bigger than the pictures. The amenities within the apartment were great, everything we needed was there. A laundry room with detergent and cleaning supplies was available in the apartment, kitchen tools were available for us to use and so much more. The location was great, only about 5-10 minutes from Funchal’s centre and in close proximity to hikes which we loved. Overall we felt very safe and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Beautiful apartment in a great location. It's very spacious with all the amenities you need. It has a great sea view with access to pools as well. It has a small gym too. There is a big supermarket a 5 minute walk away and many restaurants in the area too. It also comes with a free parking bay. It's also only a 10/15 minutes drive into Old Town Funchal. Highly recommend a stay here if you are looking to come to Madeira.

We really enjoyed the accommodation! (family of 6 people) This one is well located, a beautiful view, very peaceful and private place. It is very well equipped, heated pool (for €30/day), barbecue available, very spacious and clean. Which makes it a great value. We recommend it!

We stayed for 5 days here. My kids loved the planes flying past the house, nice walk to santa cruz , sunny patio to enjoy lunch & drinks. No major issues for us , we will definitely look to come back here!

Garden and house are a real delight and all of us felt very much welcome and at home. the house has been carefully and thoughtfully improved since our last stay 5 years ago, without losing it's unique charm. the roar of the sea are all you hear at night. access to the house is via a very steep drive, quite daunting at first. a small car is highly recommended. With our party of 7, having rented the cottage too, that connects to the main house via the garden. we hope to come again.

My friend and I used this jeep for the last four days and it gave so much freedom! Madeira is great to drive around and you can stay wherever you want with this jeep. Everything you need is included and the host was always very quickly in responding, for example advices to camp.

We really chose a fantastic apartment here! It's just like it looks in the photos and the description is accurate. If you want an apartment just outside the city centre, in a quieter neighbourhood (São Martinho), that has unbelievably stunning views of the hills, sparkling lights and the ocean, this is the one. The road is a dead end so there are no revving motorbikes or cars, only in the distance the typical barking dogs of Madeira. Going to sleep at night and waking up to this view was a stunner! We were there for one week and had everything we needed to make meals, watch TV and comfortably get ready (two of us). There are 3 balconies and 2 ways to get to the home. Be prepared to climb and descend hills if you don't have a car! But this is part of the experience. An added bonus was on-property cat, Hippie, who you get to feed and cuddle outside every day. She was such a sweetheart! Leonor is also one of the most proactive communicators on AirBnB. We had such a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful time at Valery's apartment. Particularly noteworthy is, of course, the view of the sea, which is absolutely unrestricted due to the large windows and the balcony with glass walls. The decor is super modern, it lacks nothing. The communication was ideal. You always felt that Valery was very important to the well-being of his guests. From the apartment you can easily drive to the entire island. Parking spaces are available, the car is safe and we never had any problems getting a place. Supermarket is also 5 minutes by car. Walking around the apartment was somewhat limited due to lack of footpaths. A rental car is recommended. But I think that's the case with almost every place in Madeira. We thank Valery for the wonderful time. A great Airbnb experience for us. We will be happy to come back.

Cais Dos Anjos is everything you have dreamed of. It is private and secluded. You feel like you have the whole ocean and surrounding beach to yourself. We could not wait to get back to this little slice of heaven after our daily adventures. You will never regret doing the 286 steps!

We had the best time staying at the Crystal house. Fatima was an incredibly friendly host who welcomed us personally and gave us privacy during our stay. She even brought us Madeiran wine and bananas from the garden. The space is big enough for 2 persons, especially with the royal terrace and balcony looking over the valley and the ocean! This was exceptional! The road in front of the house is not extremely busy, but the cars are loud sometimes. The kitchen is not very big, but it has the basics and is good enough for simple dinners. The bathroom is also quite small, but it’s clean and well equipped. The location on the island was ideal for us! You can drive to the highlights quite easily, while still enoying the local atmosphere from Madeira. Muito obrigado Fatima! It was amazing!

The Miguel family was very welcoming and the accommodation is among the best in Madeira. A great location away from the busy streets of Funchal with private parking - perfect for heading out to all the trails.
