A haven in Caldebarcos

Shelter: traditional architecture between hiking trails (A Moa (Red Natura), Aguillóns, Camiño dos Costados), a walk framed by stone walls surrounded by granaries and at the bottom the immense beach of Carnota, Boca do Rio and its marsh (a 10-minute walk from the shelter). Located in the shelter of Mount Pindo, built in 1920, designed and restored in 2021 as a lasting space where time stands still. A terrace sheltered from the wind by a stone wall in the shade of century-old fig and laurel trees.

The “refuxos” are small traditional buildings in which the sailors kept their fishing utensils. To conserve and honor the local architecture and culture, we have created these cabanas that can be defined as their modernized version. They have extraordinary views of the port of Quilmas and the beach. Behind, the imposing Monte Pindo, a stone's throw full of history and about 100 meters the beach of Quilmas.
