Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Castelletto, Genoa

This is a great little property in the mountains above Portofino. There are trails up and down the mountain to allow you access to the town and the bay nearby by foot. The owners were extremely friendly, accommodating, and excited to share their joy of life with us; truly special people.

Fabulously decorated house. Very comfortable for my daughter, my wife and me. Great details of Cris to help us locate to get to know Genova and Portofino. Fully recommended for getting around by train. Definitely a good place to go back

Daniela was a great host, she always responded very quickly and her instructions were very clear. The recommendation about the surroundings and restaurants were helpful . We enjoyed staying at her home very much; it’s settled in a garden full of olive tress at the top of a hill and the view over the bay and the ocean from the rooftop terrace is spectacular; especially the sunsets. We’ve had a very heavy storm for two days; two days of extraordinary fireworks because Recco had a special public holiday and had a good time for the rest of the week. We would like to especially thank Paola very much for picking up our daughter from the train station, that was really kind.

We felt right at home, Patricia was a delightful and generous host! The fact that we had a fantastic time despite the rain is good evidence for the greatness of the house: spacious, well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful design. Gracie Patricia, we hope to come again soon 🌺

This accommodation exceeded our expectations in every aspect! The house spans two floors, offering plenty of space to relax and unwind. The kitchen is equipped with every imaginable appliance and utensil, making cooking an absolute pleasure. The bathroom was spotless and so comfortable that we felt right at home. However, the true highlight is the location and the breathtaking view from the house. Overlooking the sea with stunning sunsets, it genuinely felt like paradise. The setting is perfect for exploring Genoa while staying away from the hustle and bustle of the city. A short walk from the house leads to a bus stop with a very reliable bus service that took us directly to the city center. Overall, it was a truly wonderful stay and we thank Carlo for his exceptional hospitality. Communication was smooth and quick, and we’re so grateful to have discovered this hidden gem. Highly recommended!

Ideal accommodation for those who want tranquility, an area full of greenery in a very small village. I felt like I was quiet in a mountain cabin. It will have been the effect of finding the stove on and the vision of the fire has brought me back to the years of my youth. I only stayed for two days for work but if I could I would have stayed another day. Absolutely recommended, ideal for two. The only downside is that there is no coffee maker and maybe a few waffles available for guests.

Wonderful family house in a beautiful location, the view of Portofino from the terrace is simply incredible, you can walk 12-15 minutes to the beach and to the city center. The town is not large at all, quiet, cozy, close to the railway station from where you can get to the nearest cities and active infrastructure. Near the house there is a railway road, the noise of trains is heard in the house, but I can't say what greatly interferes with rest. Also, the house has a fairly steep staircase between the floors that can be a problem for people with disabilities in walking. We were satisfied with our stay. Thank you so much 😊

Absolutely fantastic stay. Although we did not meet Erika, she was great at communicating before and during the stay. Lovely decor and apartment had everything you needed. Wonderful view from the terrace that we could have sat at for hours. We hope to be back and stay longer in the future! Can’t recommend enough.

We were allowed to spend a week in Daniela's wonderful apartment. The apartment is located in the attic of one of the oldest buildings of Chiavari and has a small roof terrace overlooking a pretty square where market stalls stand during the day and the local population meets an aperitif in the evening. The apartment is right in the middle of the hustle and yet a private gem. In the apartment is fully equipped with everything you need (including washing machine, hairdryer, etc.). Many classic style elements enchant the eye. Daniela personally welcomed us on the second day after an evening self-check-in and gave us some good tips. She also gave us a friend for a private guided tour of Genoa for several hours, which was very impressive. Otherwise, we found Chiavari to be very well located for day trips to Cinque Terre, Genoa, Portofino and even Pisa. We would come back in a heartbeat!!

I only booked one night because I had a work class on the same street as the property. Svetlana was very clear and available right away. The house was very welcoming and clean.

Spacious and well-equipped house with a small outdoor area. Francesca was very kind in welcoming us and giving us all the necessary information.

The accommodation was a special experience. The apartment is in the middle of the village. Since it's not touristy, you can really experience what it's like to live among the Italians. The people in the village were very friendly and helpful. There is a very good caterer, with fresh rolls, wine, pasta, charcuterie, vegetables, fruit, etc. There is also a bar where you can drink coffee and a pizzeria, which was not open when we were there. Within close driving distance are several fine restaurants. You will hear the sound of the upstairs neighbors, but this was not disturbing otherwise. The apartment is nicely refurbished and offers everything needed. There is a balcony and a garden where you can sit in the sun, it would be nice if there were also photos of this on the website, as well as of the view. Nicolette is very helpful and always available for tips. We have made some beautiful walks nearby, including to Monte Antola from Bavastrelli!! We'd love to come back!

Charming house in the heights of Chiavari, decorated with great taste, the house on the hill is quiet in the middle of olive trees. The owners are adorable, available. the house is very clean. A lemon cream cake upon arrival. Nothing to say, except that it was perfect.

We stayed with Paolo for a week and felt super comfortable. For a group the house is perfect, the kitchen is extremely well equipped and the garden and pool are beautiful. Paolo is a very very nice host and was always easily accessible and helpful.

Our stay at this property was wonderful! The beautiful view of the sea and the immersive natural surroundings made it a perfect getaway. The house offered near complete privacy, and our kids loved the pool. The location is excellent, with great proximity to Rapallo, Santa Margarita, and Portofino. Communication with the host was easy and smooth. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing time! The view was just breathtaking and we couldn't be more happy about spending our short holidays at Francescos place! He was really kind and always around in case we needed him. We're totally recommending staying at this little, sweet airbnb!

Absolutely wonderful stay in such a beautiful setting. The villa is beautiful - the hand painted tiles particularly are stunning. It is traditional and well equipped. The view is what you are staying for and that was incredible! We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace, eating our dinner and watching the world go by. I personally stayed in the back room where the train tracks are and I know some of the reviews mention this as an issue. I really found it absolutely fine, I had brought ear plugs which I wore (which I do normally) and it really didn't bother me. I actually quite enjoyed hearing the trains. I would say a car is needed for the villa, which we had. It would be fairly difficult to navigate without and it is approximately 250 steps up to the main road. Laura was amazing! So attentive and even got us some lovely treats as we were getting a late flight to Milan and then a long drive. Nothing was too much trouble.

Guiseppes place is amazing if you want to spend a nice holiday. The view of the sea is great and the house is very nicely furnished. We loved our stay and Guiseppe was very helpful, if there was any kind of problem.

Stefano is by far, one of the best hosts! He was engaging, warm, kind, and informative. He greeted us upon arrival, describing all the things to see in the area and made us feel welcomed & at home immediately. He gave us excellent dinner recommendations. Ristorante Nonna Nina was amazing! With only two full days in town, our options were limited. However, Stefano fully explained the ferry schedules along the coast and told us not to miss seeing Camogli! He was right! It was spectacular! Portofino was beautiful too, of course. On our second morning Stefano even brought us some locally made focaccia bread, which is one of the specialties of the region. The onion flavored was a big hit. There were six of us traveling and we all wished we had more time to stay here. The view of Camogli from the back yard is unbelievable. We also wished we had the opportunity to see the sunset, which would have been amazing for sure! You won't be disappointed staying at Rustico VIP! Stefano is awesome!

We were 3 generations, so really enjoyed the space and comfort of the house. There is not much to add to all the nice things previous guests have said about this lovely old house in a lovely place. Ivo is a delightful and very interesting host. The house is beautiful and beautifully maintained.. Be aware that the roads throughout the mountains are steep and narrow; also the coastal resorts are very busy, with parking a challenge. We took the suggestion and went to the Cinque Terre by train for the day - driving there would have been impossible! There's lots of good hiking in the area, including exploring from the door, and we did several others using Alltrails. We all loved our stay.
