the Orangerie

L'Orangerie is a pretty studio apartment in Le Vigan, at the foot of Mont Aigoual in the Cévennes National Park. A short walk to Le Vigan town centre, l'Orangerie is set in a shared garden overlooking olive and cypress trees. The apartment once housed orange and lemon trees to protect them from frost during the cold winter months. True to its original layout, the studio is a bright, open plan room with plenty of natural light streaming through powder blue shuttered windows.

Located in an old house in the Hamlet of Rochebelle, 5 minutes from Vigan, a small town with all shops, the apartment, new, is located on the first floor. The room faces south… but in the middle of summer it always stays pleasantly cool thanks to the old walls... the kitchen is very well equipped. Through the window you will see mountains, a small pond, trees… while in the bedroom you can let your gaze wander over paintings, including a large Breton landscape.

Good location in Le Vigan. You are 5 minutes from the market and the city center, 2 minutes from the river, 50 minutes from Mount Aigoual, 35 minutes from Cirque de Navacelles and central for all hiking departures in the Cevennes. The apartment is completely independent, on the second and last floor in a building of 4 lots. You can enjoy the small balcony to eat in the shade at noon and in the sun in the evening with a view of the park.
