Artist's Retreat Guest House

The Artist's Retreat Guest House is a two-bedroom Craftsman bungalow in the Earlham College neighborhood that welcomes adults visiting our community of Richmond, Indiana. It features a living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a library filled with art books, a garden, fine antiques, and works by regional and international artists. Sorry, but no children, pets, or smoking. We keep the house allergen-free and many of the art pieces are too fragile or heavy for the safety of children and animals.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This home was totally renovated in 2023. Our home has 910 square feet, with two bedrooms and one bath, all on one floor. We have a fully equipped kitchen and a stackable washer/dryer for your convenience. Ideal home for 1-4 people. There are two queen beds available. Second floor of an 1865 Tin shop, industrial building. High, open beam ceilings & exposed brick walls. Bathroom features a soaker tub plus a lux walk in shower. The kitchen features quartz counters, a large farmhouse sink, really nice appliances and thoughtful touches everywhere. The wifi is excellent. Have issues with stairs? This is not a good choice for you. If you're up for stairs and want a unique slice of history in a hip package then you will not be disappointed.

Private, with a hot tub, fire pit (wood provided), turf to play corn hole. Inside delivers all the comforts of home with full kitchen, laundry, workspace and cozy fireplace.

This updated 3-bedroom Mid-Century home is pet-free, non-smoking and open to guests age 13 and older. It is 3 blocks north of Earlham College, 3.7 miles from Reid Hospital-IU East and 2.5 miles from the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Built in 1958, it sleeps up to 5. It has a gas fireplace, deep soaking tub, laundry facilities and one-level interior. Across the street are a wooded park with rentable shelters, playground and basketball court.
