Holiday rentals with breakfast in Central America

We loved our stay! Dalena and Stephen were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The notebook guide they created is full of good recommendations and useful information; they were always available to help schedule the day in a way that made sense. The banana muffins in the mornings were a lovely and delicious touch! Especially having them in the outdoor patio surrounded by plants and cute visiting birds, a truly relaxing way to start the day. Our chats with Dalena and Stephen added very positively to our visit. Thank you!

Everything was very clean and tidy, 10/10 service. A nice house, just as in the photos, very good view, very conveniently located, close to the Conceptio hotel where I recommend going for breakfast. The only negative aspect we could find was that there is an unpleasant smell in the environment, I think from a coffee farm, but for everything else I will come back at some other time.

This is our second stay at Lila's amazing property. We love it and are already planning our third trip! Hot tips for this place: it is rural. Get a good 4x4 to get here. It makes the trip so much smoother. Land Cruiser Prados are the way to go. I would not recommend cheaping out on the 4wd. I'd also suggest a Costa Rica eSIM for your cell phone. Coverage is spotty, at best. The beach is INSANE. If you do get here, and see its beauty, please keep it a secret! :) Lila's place is perfect. It has everything you need, and a bit more. It is truly an oasis. Lila is a wonderful communicator. Despite you feeling like you are at the end of the world, she's always there to help, and her local team are amazing. They show up and take care of anything immediately. Download a roadmap on your phone. Trust the local restaurants (El Barco and San Miguel are amazing). This area is sensational, and Lila makes it comfy, safe, and so satisfying! Thank you again, Lila!

Pros: House is beautiful, spacious, immaculate, great location, amazing outdoor space, super clean pool, nice TVs in every room, fast internet, bottled water machine, great A\C in every bedroom. Owner is very nice as well. (Which is what pains me about the next section, but I leave fair yet honest reviews) Cons: The mattresses were the hardest I’ve ever slept on. My whole family woke up every day with sore hips and shoulders. The maid, while being very nice, showed up at 7am, let herself in and started cooking, cleaning, and waking us up. We like to sleep in on vacation. I let the the owner know and it didn’t happen again. Until the day we left at least. We really like our privacy, and there was a lack of it every morning. The maid would hang out right outside the back door in the backyard until about 10am/11am, which compromised our daily morning conversations over coffee. Like having a babysitter. If she changed the mattresses, and the maids schedule, I would stay there again.

WONDERFUL hidden gem! We loved our stay, Frederica and her husband and so welcoming. The property is centrally located, and once you step inside it’s is truly a private oasis. We stayed in the “Fuego” room and it match the description and pictures very well. Great water pressure in shower! Spent most of our time on our porch and enjoyed the pool for a refreshing cool down. Every morning I walked to the beach for a quick swim, returned for a wonderful yoga session, followed by a beautiful breakfast. Quiet, restful and relaxed stay in Sámara. Thank you! 🙏

Our stay at Elisabeth and Michael's home was fantastic! We felt as though we had stepped back in time to the early 1900's. They have done an amazing job restoring the place while retaining the original character. Their home is truly a work of art. While there are a few modern conveniences one might find missing, we had everything we needed, were very comfortable and felt completely at home. Michael's breakfast was wonderful and he was always ready to help in every way possible. Our conversations with our hosts were captivating and one of the hi lights of our time in Costa Rica! It is quite apparent that Elisabeth and Michael love Puntarenas and Costa Rica. That affection is quite contagious and we found ourselves more in love with their country having visited with them in their home for a few days and would definitely stay with them again.

We stayed for three nights and had a wonderful time, the house is really comfortable, peaceful and in a great location. Having water, ice, breakfast and the option of food delivered to the house was outstanding, food was delicious Another great thing about this house is that they have the option to hire a masseuse. Daniel, who is at the house at all times is very attentive and respectful. The only thing I think needs attention is the steps tones towards the beach, they are small and unbalanced and it makes it very difficult and to walk. Overall it’s a beautiful house that we will be happy to stay again.

It’s a good place. It’s very center little bit noisy because of the church in front other than that everything was great. I will stay there again.

Great stay!! In walking distance to all the restaurants and local shops. The beds were so comfy and the hot water a plus. The breakfast is included and it was delicious. 10/10.

This is by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Mrs. Elaine, the house manager met with us, gave us the keys and gave us an amazing tour of the house. Her hospitality is out of this world. She was so kind, so nice and very attentive. On top of that the house was super clean. The house is also very spacious. My kids had a blast and they enjoyed the pool very very much. The location is great and safe location in the mountains. Perfect home away from home. Very cozy and for sure recommend anybody to stay here. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Mrs. Dorrett for allowing us to experience your home. We are very grateful.

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

One of my favourite Airbnb’s ever. Such a nice room and the view from the hammock is amazing. Had 6 spider monkeys right by our balcony one morning for 20 minutes as they snacked on fruit from a nearby tree, pretty incredible experience! The hosts couldn’t be nicer too, would not hesitate to come back

We loved it! It is our 2nd time there and we will definitely come back. Amazing place to relax during your vacations, very private, peaceful, with great location, the breakfast its delicious and Wade, Laurie and their cats are lovely.

We had a wonderful time staying with Pat and Alan and their pups Sandy and Bruno. We had to leave Little Corn unexpectedly due to weather and Pat was able to accommodate our changes and was there to pick us up at the dock with a smile. The location is a bit remote, but the reward is stunning views and access to gorgeous beaches. We were able to have a scooter delivered to the property too, which gave us the freedom to easily explore the island. Breakfast was wonderful - Alan makes a mean omelette. They easily accommodated our vegetarian diet. We were able to join in on Alan’s birthday celebration during our stay too, which was a real treat. Thank you, Pat and Alan!

Beautiful, restful spot conveniently located just under an hour from the San Jose airport (if you miss traffic). We had a late flight in and needed a spot to sleep en route to Dominical. We were more than happy with Claudine’s place & especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast. Even spotted a gorgeous pair of Macaws!

Gio was answering my doubts, a young guest of the house was very nice to us and the lady who prepared breakfast for us was delicious. Thank you for your attention.
