Waterfront holiday rentals in Chania

Place was as described right in old town. Very easy to walk around and plenty of restaurants with many gluten free options. Steep steps up to the apartment but this was as listed. Also can be a little noisy at night but again this is to be expected right next to the harbour precinct at night. Overall very nice and priced right.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment! It is in a very clean and well maintained aparthotel called Oliva Hotel with nice furnishings. The host Sophia was very responsive and helpful. It has a particularly nice and clean pool and garden area with a small kids play area. We visited in May and there were only a few apartments occupied so it was nice and quiet. I got the impression it would still be fairly quiet in high season as it doesn't have an attached restaurant or bar like the bigger resorts nearby. Maleme is a nice area with a good supermarket, lots of decent restaurants and lovely sea view. The beach is a pebble one. It has buses going through it which include ones going to Chania, Falasarna and Paleochora. The photos of the apartment I feel don't really do it justice (especially the one with the white plastic chairs on a balcony is not a correct one). We definitely recommend staying here!

Une vue magnifique sur la mer et une partie de la vieille ville, nous avons passé un excellent moment dans cette appartement très bien situé dans La Canée.

Abbiamo soggiornato le prime due settimane di ottobre e non posso che fare una recensione super positiva di questo posto. Casa molto bella e accogliente, con una vista mare meravigliosa, non puoi non svegliarti bene! Posizione ottima per raggiungere varie mete in macchina, oltre che ad essere a soli 20 minuti di macchina da Chania. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla bontà e dalla gentilezza dell’host, mamma di Gorgios, una persona davvero di cuore e molto disponibile. Ci tengo a dare un consiglio a chi andrà in futuro in uno di questi appartamenti : di avere cura dei gattini che girano lì, sono dolcissimi e una carezza in più fa per loro la differenza ♥️ Noi tutte le sere gli davamo da mangiare delle scatolette di carne. Non potendoli salvare tutti, nel nostro piccolo si puo’ fare la cosa più giusta per loro!

One of the best Airbnb spots I have stayed in! The apartment has amazing views, close to tons of restaurants/bakeries/coffee shops, and only a 20min walk to old town. The hosts are the best, they were very friendly and made sure that you felt at home! They even left us pastries one morning. I highly recommend this apartment! We will definitely be coming back!

Uns hat der Aufenthalt in Jurgas Unterkunft ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Wir konnten flexibel einchecken und wurden herzlich begrüßt und immer gut beraten. Die Wohnung war super sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wir konnten sogar unsere Wäsche waschen. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf das Meer ist ein Traum. Zu Fuß sind Strand und zahlreiche Restaurants erreichbar. Wir waren in der Nebensaison für eine Woche da, alles war sehr ruhig und entspannt. Wir konnten uns super erholen.

Thank you for an amazing stay! This place has all the best elements of a hotel, apartment and B&B all in one - super clean room which is serviced every day, friendly hosts etc etc. Definitely recommend if you are planning on staying in the Chania Old Town

A compact and comfortable apartment, right at the heart of the village, yet surprisingly quiet. Great shower and very comfortable bed. Everything was as described and shown in photos. Communication with the hosts was good and they were helpful.

What an amazing place! Ioannis has thought about everything you could ever need and it is there!! Every thing was immaculate, beautiful white linen, beach towels, the best kitchen ever. Ioannis very thoughtfully had provided large bottles of water and fresh fruit in the fridge which I thought was wonderful. We had a problem on arrival which was sorted so quickly, thank you Ioannis! We have been to many Airb&bs and this was the best. So near the sea and fantastic restaurants, i miss the wonderful food! Thank you so much for our wonderful stay

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Georgios. L'appartement est à deux pas de la plage, vous trouvez des restaurants et commerces dans la rue ou à 300m dans le village. Les chambres sont très spacieuses (plus grandes qu'il n'y paraît dans l'annonce). La terrasse est très agréable et le parking gratuit est juste a côté. Les serviettes de bain et de plage sont fournies. Nous avons trouvé que Kalyvès est bien situé pour visiter l'ouest de la Crète. Nous reviendrons !

We loved staying in this calm and peaceful location. The villa is a comfortable size to host 8 people, with all the mod cons you require. The hammock in the garden was well used! Stunning views and having the sea just a few steps away was amazing. It was also only a short walk away from some fabulous restaurants. We would love to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

This place was wonderful. Most outstanding was the hospitality from our hosts; Artemis, Tasoula, Giorg, and Dimitris, all whom helped us with check-in or questions or help we needed. We were greeted with a warm welcome, some delicious food and a wonderful home. The place is clean and perfect for a beach location. The beach is beautiful and quiet and has a few restaurants near for food. there is a small mini market though it doesnt cater much for meals just the few extras you may need - though they were very friendly and nice. It was easy to communicate, check in and check out and teh beds were comfortable and clean. definite recommendation

The Airbnb was everything we imagined and more! the view with the little private enterance to the sea Is Amazing, and one of the best spots to snorkel that we found in the area. Everything was clean, with plenty of towels and sheets as well as extras for summer vacation such as beach towels and snorkeling masks. the kitchen Is well equipt and comfortable for cooking, with wine and fruits gifted at our arrival. Olga and her father were very kind and helpful with everything, we absolutely loved our vacation and hope to come back.

Super appartement avec une terrasse directement sur la petite plage. très calme il n y a que le bruit des vagues, un bonheur! La Canee est à 10 minutes en voiture, très pratique. Quelques restaurants et plages privées accessibles à pied. L interieur est egalement tres bien, conforme aux photos et description. Nikos a été très gentil et l accueil au top! Bref un séjour parfait je conseille vivement

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for a few nights in March. The apartment has plenty of space, and is very nicely decorated. The balcony space is huge and a real selling point for this apartment. The location is great, practically on the beach. There are shops and cafes close by, very short walk to some water front restaurants, and about 20 minute gentle walk to the old town. We had a great time at staying here and would definitely stay here again.

I can see why Katerina is a super host -everything about our stay was absolutely perfect! We felt very comfortable in her place! We found it very convenient and yet peaceful! The view from her balcony was amazing! Katerina was very responsive and pro active ! I would stay here again if I were to visit Chania in the future!

We were very pleased with the place. The walking distance to the beach made it easier and an enjoyable experience for our two children. We also had access to a walking distance supermarket, restaurants, rental car and bus station which we made used of during our stay. The beach was lovely and family friendly. The place was clean and had everything we required for our family. Thank for Paul!

Chrisi ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin! Sie war jederzeit hilfsbereit und immer gut gelaunt und freundlich . Die Wohnung ist perfekt für Ausflüge , aber auch perfekt zum Strand um die Ecke. Dazu ist alles vorhanden , was man zum Leben braucht und es gibt sogar eine kleine Flasche Raki im Kühlschrank zur Begrüßung. Wir werden wieder mal hierher kommen!! Brigitte und Peter

Valias place was amazing ! We dealt with her mum Katerina who was super friendly and always on the phone if I needed anything. Perfect location with stunning views of the Venetian port . Everywhere easy to get to. The beach about a 30 min walk and a beautiful one at that. Highly recommend and are looking forward to booking again nxt year 😀

Absolutely loved staying here. Highly recommend. It was extremely cozy, really very uncommon for most airbnb’s. 20-25 mins walk to the old town for restaurants and shopping. The only downside if any is that it doesn’t have a parking spot if you have a car. But not a big deal whatsoever, just something to note. Car spots are available 1 minute walking distance. Will stay again!

Amazing host, a small apartment in the perfect quiet location just next to a small beach. Love it a lot as it was not touristic. And there is free parking next to it which is even better. Highly recommended!!!! Definitely will come back to Crete <3

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in toller Lage gleich an der Strandpromenade. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine sind auch vorhanden. Zwei Balkone im Osten und Westen, man hatte immer Schatten oder Sonne. Maria war super nett, hat uns erwartet und eingewiesen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!
