It is located 10 minutes from the port and the airport respectively by car or motorbike. The Sarakin-inspired pirates, Sarakiniko Lunar Beach, is only a 10-minute walk away. Finally, the lonely, quiet enjoyment of the environment is ideal!
“Go for it. He came to pick us up at the port and even woke up at 7 in the morning to drive us into town, and we didnt even have to ask for that. This is the superhost youre looking for in Milos. The appartment is close to everything if you rent a Quad and plenty of parking for it. It was quiet for most of the time, but we were woken up at 6-7 in the morning by construction work which sucked alittle bit. When we arrived the fridge was filled up with 3 big bottles of water and plenty of cheese, ham and bread and a good amount of fruit, which was nice when you arrive late and youre hungry. We thought it was a private appartment for ourselves but he lives under you, which we first thought would be an issue, but it was not at all. It was quiet all the time and we didnt even see anyone the couple of days we were there.”
The little fishing village known as Klima is located right on the waterfront quite close to the entrance of the huge natural harbour of Milos. The tiny hamlet is much admired for its little boat houses with their brightly painted doors and windows.
“If you are lucky enough to find this place available for the dates you are looking for, book it now! This was definitely our favorite place to stay during our Greek Island trip, and my girlfriend and I were sad that we weren't able to stay for longer.. The location is so good, that other tourists show up occasionally throughout the day just to take pictures of the strip of houses along the water where the Yellow Boat House is located (but we were lucky, because in mid-October, there really weren't many other tourists at all, and it was extremely peaceful and quiet). The host picked us up directly from the port, and also set up our car rental for our stay. Manolis and his wife Gladwin are true locals, and this is a real AirBnB, unlike many listings these days that are really just hotels pretending to be "hosts". He showed us pictures on the walls of him with his family at the house back in what was probably the 50's or 60's. The sunset, the water at your doorstep, and the deck chairs on the roof make this place a true dream getaway.”
The visitor will distinguish the calm environment as soon as he sets foot in Firopotamos. The beach will win you over immediately and the eye will fall straight to the picturesque village and its houses, called 'Syrmata', and its church. Wind apartment (Blue Mare) is a very comfortable and spacious home for holidays. It is consisted of 2 bedrooms, one of them includes the kitchen and a private bathroom with a shower. It can accommodate up to 5 people.
“What a stay! This was one of the most unique Airbnb stays we've done, and it exceeded our expectations. I was really unsure about the location when we were booking, but Firopotamos ended up being one of our favorite beaches in all of Milos (a sentiment shared by other travelers we met in Milos, too), and sitting on the porch for breakfast, lunch, dinner and happy hour, watching the sun rise or fall, was one of the highlights of our trip. The photos don't really do the beauty of it justice, and it's really quite close to many of the other areas you want to go to (10-20 mins from the port, Plaka, Sarakiniko, etc). Highly recommend! (I will say, driving to and from the beach takes some getting used to esp with the rental cars we had that wasn't the most nimble on hills and curves, but we survived ;))”
