Farthing Cottage was an absolute dream for a lover of all things English, Cadbury and cottage garden style. I arrived very late due to a train delay. Louise was very communicative and concerned on my behalf. She had lights on when I arrived. First thing on the spot - Malteser bunnies under a cake dome with chocolate easter egg cake! How did she know about me and maltesers/Cadbury! A welcome card also greeted me. The cottage has 17th century beams, lending a warm and cosy atmosphere. The fireplace had to be original and was gorgeous. Plenty of books, brochures and an instruction sheet. Living room was so cosy, I could have stayed there forever. Lovely furnishings. The master bedroom was sublime. Beautiful duvet and the bedframe appeared right out of Laura Ashley. Great bed and wonderful sleep. Louise couldn't have been more kind. Lovely neighbors. I couldn't get over that I could look out the window and see Jane Austen's house! My eyes welled up when it was time to go.

We had a fantastic stay the place was clean and had everything we needed. The host left some lovely hot cross buns for Easter. The host was very helpful and responsive. The area was great, walking distance to everything you would need.

Chawton House is so beautiful and the gardens and surrounding area are perfect for walking, or just admiring. The village, which is only a ten minute walk, is lovely and Jane Austin's house is well worth a look. The flat is very large and well-equipped, with comfy beds and a snug sitting room. Delicious cakes are served in the tea rooms just beneath the flat and the house itself is full of interesting information. It is a very relaxing and tranquil space and we loved staying there.

Another great weeekbd staying at the Ivy Annexe in Chawton. This place is just beautiful have 2 fantastic hosts and 3 dogs and chickens with free eggs. Cant do enough fir any guest that stays here, always a pleasure staying at this Airbnb just like home
