After locally sourcing fresh ingredients, head to the Rock Forest, park your car in the parking lot, and climb the stairs to carry the ingredients to the hearth space. From Tokyo to Karuizawa, it is 60 minutes by Shinkansen, and 30 minutes by car from Karuizawa Station, so for example, you can work in the morning and take a half afternoon. Sake and miso factories are also close by. The altitude is about 700 m and the stars are beautiful at night if the weather is clear. We also offer free bicycle rentals (2 bikes) for those who wish. The hosts are an Italian and Japanese couple who can speak English, Italian, Chinese, and Japanese. Why not come and visit an Italian family in Minamishinshu?
