Hotel Martinez is a dream for surfers or anyone craving a laid-back escape. With six private ramada bungalows around a shared pool in a peaceful, jungle-like setting, and just a five-minute walk to the beach, it’s the perfect blend of comfort and nature. Alex, the manager, is incredibly attentive. The food is local, delicious, and available nearly anytime—shoes optional. You’ll find surf clips or music playing in the open-air restaurant, along with ice cream, paletas, and refillable water. The bungalows are cozy, well-designed, and have strong A/C—ideal after a beach day. Thoughtful touches like spots to hang wet towels make it feel like home. Pack light, stay casual, and enjoy. We can’t wait to come back.

Overall we had a great time in the house! The lady looking after the house Rubidia was always lovely and helpful with anything we needed, plus she has her own restaurant and will deliver food from her menu to the house when asked! Also, her brother-in-law was kind enough to take us on a boat trip out to the mangroves which was a highlight of the trip. The house itself was lacking in storage space, especially in the bedrooms and kitchen, however I think they are in the process of making improvements. Otherwise, we found it clean when we arrived and there was air conditioning in the bedrooms so we slept comfortably. The good sized pool was also cleaned every day. The house is right on a beautiful beach which had the best sunsets. And if you don't want to be out in the midday sun, the hammocks are a must to take in the sea breeze.

Our stay was very nice! Steve was very responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We are definitely going to recommend this place to our friends, as well as come back!

My family and I had a great experience at Anthony's place. The home had great room to accommodate all of our guests. We were able to enjoy the pool and then zen garden. The home location is close too many beaches and restaurants. Great experience overall!
