Great place to base from to see Kanchaburi. Better with own transport but cabs are affordable. Loud music from river traffic is real. Best to just enjoy it. This place is visually stunning, but the area it is in, is louder than you expect. It is quiet at night, fortunately. There's a great restaurant 750 meters away.

Beautiful place to stay, lots of space and very clean, peaceful and close to 711 and cafes! Highly recommend and Pomme is lovely host, very helpful. Thank you

C’est la deuxième fois que nous venons à PapaHouse229. Nous avons même réorganisé notre séjour en Thaïlande pour pouvoir y revenir car nous avions gardé un très bon souvenir ! Encore une fois nous avons été très bien accueillis. 😊 Tout était parfait ! Le service proposé est excellent : de l’eau bien fraîche nous attendait dans le réfrigérateur et l’hôte, comme pour la première fois, a mis à notre disposition de quoi grignoter. C’est le logement à prendre absolument si vous souhaitez passer quelques jours au Marché Flottant d’Amphawa : c’est un marché très calme la journée et très animé la nuit. Nous avons pu assister à un concert de chanteurs populaires locaux. Très belle ambiance ! Merci 🙏🏽 Nous reviendrons ! C’est sûr !

We hebben een fijne tijd gehad in het huis. Het huis was groter dan we dachten, dat was een groot pluspunt. De eigenaar was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We zijn erg dankbaar voor de fijne tijd die we hebben gehad.

The place was perfect—just as described! It’s an ideal getaway for a quick family escape from Bangkok. The house is beautifully designed, and if you love traditional Thai architecture with stunning antique furniture, this is the perfect spot. The pool and garden were lovely, and it’s only about 10 minutes from Amphawa Floating Market. Highly recommended! The host was also very nice, with easy and smooth communication.

Great location to spend a few days in the countryside with the kids. Loads of cyclable trails behind the house, huge garden. Water filter is a plus. Beds were really comfortable.

What a special place to stay! Right on the canal in the midst of the floating markets. It’s vibrant during the day then totally quiet after about 3 pm. It was fantastic being able to wander around the canal paths, past the shops and houses in the evening. The accommodation was a lovely old place that has been nicely renovated. Very comfortable and clean. Being able to sit out on the deck by the canal was perfect. Madame Ling’s little restaurant out the front was amazing. She made us the most delicious Thai dinner. The place was difficult to find but the host was very responsive and helped us get there. With some clearer instructions it should be easy to know where exactly in the market to enter and find the house. The walls are thin but the people staying in the next room were quiet. A motor boat went past at 4 am and someone was ringing a bell (local alarm?) at 6 am but this was all part of the charming character of the place. We absolutely loved it and want to go back!

very lovely couple. Johan met us at 7/11 across from the bus station. They are always their to help and answer your questions. The house is central to all areas and helped us hire a bike to get around, good price. The room is simple, but expected and had air-conditioning, 50baht a day. Shower and bathroom are fine. On a budget, great value for money! Thank you for having us
