Just what we were looking for, for a short relaxing break and lots of walking. Swallow Cottage was delightful, super comfortable, so clean, had everything you needed for a home from home. Very quirky with steps everywhere, even where you wouldn’t expect them! But all clearly signed. A great little gem.

We had a delightful stay at this charming stone cottage which was perfect for two adults — cosy, beautifully finished, and well laid out. Giles was excellent throughout, with prompt and helpful communication. The attention to detail did not go unnoticed: top-quality fixtures, a lovely private garden for morning tea among fresh herbs, and views over a peaceful pasture with sheep and lambs. The nearby village of Wray was equally charming. Highlights include the quality of construction, the serene location, thoughtful layout, and easy access to stunning countryside. A wonderful stay — highly recommended.

Sams place was even better than the photos show! The location is stunning and Claughton Hall and the servants quarters were perfect for a lovely weekend getaway. Sam was really attentive when messaged and responded really quickly to any questions we had. Overall, I would recommend this a premium place for anyone wanting a break to just relax and recharge.

Incredibly clean and very cosy cottage. Louise was very friendly and kind, always there to meet any needs I might have and I spent a week squirrelled away by the woodburner while I did some writing. The kitchen was well equipped and I felt very at home. Great pub down the road where I enjoyed breakfast and dinner some days and a short drive to some sweet walks and the local village. Thanks so much for creating such a lovely cottage and for your hospitality.
