Only a few miles from the Lake District National Park and Solway Coastline, Scholars Cottage is superbly situated for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery and some of the best local walking routes during your stay. The Cottage has recently been refurbished to a high standard and we look forward to hosting for you as you explore the Western Lake District.

Ideal for couples, walkers, cyclists, or families as a base for exploring the stunning Western Lake District. Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere, Keswick and the Coast are all within half an hour. It's been stylishly refurbished with a large dining kitchen, cosy living room with comfy leather sofas and fireplace and a dedicated office area for those who need to do some work whilst away!

A charismatic period cottage which sits on the quieter North West Edge of the Lake District National Park. Only 2 miles from Loweswater and only 4 miles from Ennerdale Water. Parking for two cars and storage for bikes, this is a great base to enjoy the magic Lakes and surrounding area. The lovely market town of Cockermouth is just a 13 minute drive away.

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.
