Monthly Rentals in Coldstream

The Lake View Cottage was perfect. Clean, quiet, has parking and a beautiful view of The Hirsel lake and all the birds. The beds are very comfortable and plenty of storage for clothes in the rooms. It was lovely waking up and The Homestead Cafe being right outside for a tasty fuss-free breakfast or lunch. I grew up in Coldstream so it was nice to show my son and husband where I used to walk with friends who lived around The Hirsel. Very peaceful for walks and safe for little ones on a scooter. The Cottage also had underfloor heating in the bathroom which was lovely. Already planning next years trip.

What a lovely cottage! Julie and Nigel's cottage is a real home from home, and it matches the photographs perfectly. Thoughtfully decorated, and made to feel homely with blankets, pictures, books etc. Homemade bread and delicious muffins, plus milk and tea and good coffee were most welcome. I appreciated the use of Eco friendly cleaning products and shampoos etc. Comfortable bed with cotton duvet cover and comfy pillows. Big, fluffy towels were great. There are maps and suggestions of places to visit and eat. Julie sent me some recommendations too which were helpful. Friendly neighbours who are keen to share information too. It is perfect for two people - and our dog was made ever so welcome too. Julie and Nigel were responsive to messages right from booking to the end of our stay. We had such a lovely stay at Thistle Nook! It really is the cutest little place. The extras were so appreciated and a lovely touch. The bed was so comfy! We loved sitting on the comfy sofa with the fire on. We stayed with our wee dog and it was great there was a park walking distance. We had a takeaway from the Indian the first night which was delicious! Thanks for being such a great, helpful and friendly host.

We had a quick stopover here on our way further north. Very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Thank you
