Due to its geographical location, El Refugio is located in the heart of the cider region, just 7 km from downtown Villaviciosa, 15 km from Rodiles beach and 35 km from the Covadonga Lakes and very close to fishing villages such as Tazones, Lastres, Cudillero, Luanco and Candás. In the area there are several routes for walking or if you prefer by bicycle alone or with family.

En la planta baja, la protagonista es la chimenea de leña situada en el salón; en la primera planta la terraza-balcón con vistas al fondo de valle y las montañas.
