Your beautifully comfortable one room off grid cabin, begins with a scenic, steep 1/4 mile heart pumping hike to the cabin(10 to 20 min). You can then relax on the deck that overlooks the Pack River Valley as you sip cool water from our 250 foot well. It offers off grid solar power for lights, sell phones, tablets, laptops and small devices, a propane refrigerator, stove, barbecue and hot running water. (no hair dryers as the solar power cannot handle large heating elements)
“Kirk and Aarow were very welcoming at check in and explainedthe details that go along with staying in the solar powered and off-grid cabin. They were also really great about getting in touch to confirm our arrival details, as my phone was having issues and my messages in/out were acting up. As mentioned in the listing, the hike to the cabin is steep but not too long, and we were visiting Idaho for the nature and outdoors so a bit of additional hiking for the views and solitude was no issue. The cabin was very peaceful, overlooking the valley and forested hills all around. We lived sitting on the swing chair and lying in the hammock watching the numerous hummingbirds come right up the deck. Very clean and tidy inside, with everything we needed to stay comfortably, prepare the food we brought, and plan out our visits to the surrounding area, and without the distractions of TV or wifi. Thanks for a relaxing time!”

“Lynda and Jim are simply amazing. Their place is so clean and cozy. They leave you welcome muffins with local jams and a variety of drinks, and are so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and wonderful. You absolutely cannot be this location. You are less than a one minute walk to the lake, a short bike ride to town, and we watched a moose with huge antlers hanging out in the pond next to their home yesterday. The tennis court is practically connected to their house and we played every day. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this rental. Even the kitchen, which isn’t a full kitchen, has enough things to cook meals. Can’t wait to come back!!”
Brand new, spacious apartment with private entrance in beautiful Sandpoint. Close proximity to downtown, city beach, Travers Park, hiking and biking trails, public library, Schweitzer Mountain ski resort and the Lighthouse YMCA.
“Johanna's place is the best Airbnb I've stayed at. The space is cheery, clean and there is great natural light. The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom has a bathtub, which is really nice. I loved looking out at the little lake in the mornings and watching the birds and some families fishing. The neighborhood is cute and family friendly. It's a very convenient location if you want to be close to the grocery stores and downtown is just a few minutes away. The two main grocery stores are just a five minute drive. The kitchen has basic cooking stuff, so if you stay more than a few nights, it's nice to be able to cook. I felt very comfortable and safe at Johanna's. She was a great hostess and anything I needed she took care of. The family lives upstairs and there are sounds of a child playing, but it didn't bother me at all. I was glad to know there was a nice family upstairs if I needed anything. I also enjoyed watching some of the dvd's and playing some of the games. I would stay here again and I highly recommend her place if you are going to be visiting Sandpoint. This is without a doubt the nicest place I've stayed and I would stay here again anytime!”
