I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is very nice, and the views from the back patio are unmatched. The pictures don’t do it justice. The river is right behind the house making it a dreamy location. The kitchen is fully stocked. The house is clean, open and spacious. The only critique we had is that the living room set up makes it tough to gather around the tv. We weren’t there to watch tv anyway, and it didn’t stop us from squeezing in and watching tv before bed. There is a great loft space as well with gorgeous views. It’s the perfect location between the town of Pagosa and wolf creek ski lodge. Linda is very communicative, quick to respond, and the most thorough host I have ever worked with. I would book here again without reservation. It’s a gorgeous house with everything you could ever need and more! It’s better than the pictures!!

This house was perfect for our family of four. Great location on the river and very quiet neighborhood. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed and we felt right at home. We will definitely try to book this house again when we return to Pagosa Springs.

Place was perfect for what we used it for!

Great space. Great location to ski area. Provided all the essentials we typically have to buy (tissues, liquid hand soap, paper towels, etc.). Have every kitchen appliance you could possibly need. Only downside was the heat can’t go above 68°. Texans and outdoor temps of 20° need more heat in the house. With the lock issue, luckily there were two ways to enter. That was a bonus opposed to having to wait. Overall a great place to stay.

Beautiful country home, well worth it. Kitchen is fully stocked. The home itself is very homey and comfortable, it felt like home away from home. Super easy to find, only a 10 min drive from south fork and maybe 20 mins drive to the wolf creek ski lodge.

Everything was great, nice place and plenty of room. Loved the yard games and access to the grill.

Our family had an amazing stay at this beautiful and spacious home. The modern updates made it feel like home, and the views from the living room overlooking the golf course, river, and mountains were breathtaking. The master bedroom balcony also had its own balcony. The location was perfect—just a short drive to Wolf Creek for skiing and only 100 yards from great fishing on the river. The peaceful setting made for a truly relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, ensuring a smooth stay. We highly recommend this property and already looking at booking again for next year.

Our cabin was better than expected. We were surprised by all the amenities, like the provided crockpot. It was nice to have a meal waiting for us when we got back from skiing at Wolf Creek. Management was incredible and helped us out every step of the way. Because of my own lack of knowledge with electronics, management even came by to show me how to use our tv. We will stay here again.

This is our second time to stay at the Deer cabin. We love the coziness and privacy and the proximity to Wolf Creek. The gas log stove keeps the cabin warm and adds to the cozy charm. Our dogs felt right at home too. The beds are very comfortable and everything we needed for our stay was provided. We definitely hope to be back here on future trips.

Great place to stay! Simple and small but clean and inviting. Was a great base for a day in the mountains. I would definitely stay here again!

For the price you can't beat this place. If you are in a group this place will have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Place is a little dated but clean. Bedding was new and clean. Offers a grill and hot tub which was a plus.

This is a great cabin right in town. Walking or a short drive for food, while very quiet in the evening. The kitchen was very thoughtfully prepared, including coffee and a grinder, selection of teas and a very nice knife set (among many other things). Although simple, everything was clean and I had everything I needed for a stay. I certainly will return if I'm in the area again!

The cabin was exactly as described. We got what we expected. The bathroom was adequate for our needs which included up to six showers a day. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, and we were warm during a snowstorm. We are grateful for the space and when we are in town again, we will choose to stay there. Thank you for the prompt communications, too.

It was a quick stay and my first time to South Fork. The cabin was cozy and warm. Gave the feels of a little mountain cabin while being right in town. I would definitely stay again.

We have stayed at Oleo Ranch annually for over 10 years. The changes the new owners have made have made the cabins more attractive and more comfortable. Especially nice are the new bathroom features and the automatic battery lighting. The stream fishing can provide cooperative brookies, browns and even a few cutthroats. The beaver dams continue to change the course of the stream. It has changed significantly in the past year with additional dams taking over choice sections of the stream. The willows and boggy spots pose some challenges especially if you are a novice, but the stream continues not to disappoint with fish of notable size. We only catch and release and hope all fishermen will follow this practice to ensure the future fishery of this jewel of a stream. The pond fishing provides fish of some impressive size, the addition of the Yellowstone cutthroats is great.

This place is as promised. No running water and bring your own sleeping bag/pillows. You may also need a fifth of whiskey. But an absolutely stunning trip to seclusion. I really liked the place. Be prepared to hike a bit and pack up some firewood if the weather is cold. I did not need to light a fire in August. Electricity is minimal, enough power to charge a couple cell phones and run a light partially through the night. Absolutely a cool experience, just don’t expect a shower, unless it rains. Hosts were excellent. The outhouse is lovely.

Had a great week here at this unique property. Corey met me in person and showed me around and was very warm and welcoming. It’s a beautiful and incredibly private property, and the house is full of so much interesting art, oddities etc. very inspiring and I’d love to return sometime !

We loved our stay at this cozy cabin, especially the views, peacefulness, and that it’s tucked up into a quiet neighborhood above town but only a few minutes drive away. The host was fantastic with recommendations for local activities/restaurants/saloons, and communicated just the right amount to check in with us. Appreciated the stocked coffee (and other staples), comfy spa-like bedding, great water pressure in the shower, and overall the warm cabin ambiance with paneled pine throughout. This was the perfect size for a couple + dog, but can easily accommodate up to 6 with the loft bedroom. The cabin was a great base for skiing at Wolf Creek, hiking, and day trips to Creede and Del Norte, which provided stunningly beautiful drives (especially to Creede), but also some delicious foodie finds and local brews . We even embarked on a longer day trip with stops in Gunnison, Crested Butte, and Salida, which was very doable from South Fork. Highly recommend this cabin in this special place!

We had another unforgettable stay at the Red Ryder Cabin — our 5th time returning, and it never disappoints! We were once again able to unwind completely. The cabin is always spotlessly clean, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the comfortable beds ensure a restful sleep after a day of skiing. It truly feels like a home away from home, and we can’t wait to return again next year. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Peaceful as you could imagine. Sitting on the back porch is right by the river/stream and extremely relaxing. Cabin has plenty of space. Keep in mind this is a rural county, bears came waltzing right into camp around 7:30 one night looking for some food so don’t leave anything out! Would definitely come back again!

What a cozy cabin. From the moment we opened the door we felt right at home. Lots of windows to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Hiking less than a mile away in the National Forest. The cabin is roomy & has everything you need. We will definitely be back.

This place is truly a little slice of heaven! We had the most wonderful time at the homestead cabin, the listing does not do it justice! There was so much for the kids to do, feeding the animals, playing in the little outdoor house, playing with the dress-up closet, toys were hiding in every nook and cranny. Lisa was such a sweet host, she provided a little booklet of all the homestead activities we could do! We ended up making peach pie and homemade ice cream in the homestead house and it was such a fun experience. Lisa was so patient with the kids, teaching them all about the animals. They loved it and we did as well! The cabin had plenty of space for 4 adults plus all our kiddos. The property itself is beautiful and so peaceful, all the hard work that Tim and Lisa have put into it really shows. We could not recommend the homestead more!!! Our stay here will forever hold a sweet spot in our memories.
