Walk to Beach from Spacious 1920 Home

MattRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What an incredible home to stay at! Neal and Krystal provided everything one needs! Fresh clean sheets, towels, and the kitchens were fully equipped with all your needs. Plenty of space for the 12 of us that went up there. The insides is completely renovated with great amenities. Not to mention they left us local refreshments and snacks for arrival! All of those who went up were blown away by this house and many have expressed returning before we even left! This house is located in a great place as well. It’s a quick walk to the pier and all the local favorite places to go too! If you are looking for a home to stay in OOB for a fantastic price, don’t wait to book this home. Krystal and Neal are also extremely friendly and communicative. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was truly memorable. I cannot thank them enough!

Scatter Good Farm Apartment

MelissaRating, 5 stars6 months ago
This was our second stay here - we enjoy the peaceful country surroundings and the uniqueness of the Scattergood Farm. The accommodations are perfect for a couple, and are comfortable, clean, and stocked with anything you might need, and close to Brunswick, Freeport, and Portland and other Maine "gems" worthy of discovering. This time, we enjoyed meeting Patty and John and talking about the farm and the "Growing to Give" non-profit they co-founded. They are great hosts and we appreciate their responsiveness and care. We hope to return again. Thanks, Patty and John!

WINDABROOK Lodge- Recharge Reset Relax on 13 acres

RyanRating, 5 stars6 months ago
What a special special place - the place is a very cute destination for a little getaway! The house is located on their massive property where you're far enough from any neighbors or the road that you truly feel like you are in nature. Expect to see Deer and Turkeys wandering around the property as well as countless squirrels and chipmunks running between the trees. It's only about a 20minute drive into Portland, but you also have access to so many cute hiking trails and I'd definitely recommend driving north up to Tassel Top Park where you'll be met with a very cute campground and picture perfect beach and lake!

2 Bedroom Pine Point Beach Cottage

LynnRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The cottage was very comfortable. While there were many other houses/cottages on the street, it was fairly quiet (especially after Labor Day!), the walk to the beach was easily accessable, the salt marsh behind us was full of egret activity and very relaxing to just sit and watch the natural habitat. We had a wonderfully relaxing week, enjoyed the seafood and went on a couple daytrips to see lighthouses. A great vacation - just what we had hoped for!!!

Wild Rose Farm -Three Queen Suites

NamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Me & my 4 other close friends have never been to Maine before, but people like our AirBnb host, John, made us want to visit again sooner than later! For a 200+ year old home, it was cozy & stayed warm through the cold nights (just keep the barn door closed). We were able to have our own bedrooms & fold out couches as well. He greeted us when we first arrived & showed us a quick tour of the home. Anything we needed, he was quick to respond! There was a Walmart that was a 2-minute drive/10-min walk away. Several food options nearby to explore. Only a 15-min drive to downtown Portland! We loved it!

Hemlock Ridge Yurt at Maine Forest Yurts

We were exhausted but finally got to the yurt & it was incredible. Felt like 100 acres all to ourselves / our dog! We slept most of the time but the little exploring we did / our dog was just beautiful, quiet, relaxing!

Meadowland Farm Inn & Retreat

FaithRating, 5 stars7 months ago
My girlfriends and I had an amazing time staying at Tara’s farm. It is in rural Buxton which is a bit secluded, but it made our stay so peaceful and relaxing. When we wanted to go out on the town, it was about a half hour drive to Kennebunkport and 45 minutes to Freeport, which was easy, scenic drives. Tara was so kind and helpful from the time we booked to the day we left. She was communicative about things to do nearby, how to check in & out, and we even got to chat while we watched her take care of her horses. Overall it was such a fun first stay in Maine and we will be going back in the future!!

Dan and Jane have a beautiful home. They were extremely kind and I can’t thank them enough for allowing me and the kids to meet their horses. It is a wonderful property on a serene landscape. The pictures don’t do it justice. We will certainly be back.

Farm stay

SharonRating, 5 stars7 months ago
If you're looking for a beautiful rustic place to stay in Maine and get away from the city and its light pollution, I highly recommend Stephanie's listing! Being surrounded by trees, the sounds of farm animals, and the stars at night was so lovely. Stephanie was friendly and also prompt with replying. I would definitely stay here again if I came back up to Maine, esp at the price point.

It was lovely to stay at a proper old-school B&B, and Amy is the perfect host. The breakfast was delicious, and the chickens, cats and goats were a highlight. I particularly appreciated Amy accommodating my coeliac disease for breakfast. Would recommend!

Second visit- and still a great place to stay! We last visited during COVID and were impressed at how clean and cozy the place was. This time we came back and used the house as a home base for hikes and adventures in the area. It was as nice as we remembered and we spent a wonderful long weekend there.

Beautiful lake-side home close to Portland Maine

LoriRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really appreciated this spot as we explored the Maine coastal area. And the cold lake water kept us plunging for health and challenges! Beds were comfy and cozy! The kitchen allowed for nice meal prep and for the studying students in our group the relaxing view made it all bearable. We would love to come back in summer or fall! Thanks for being such accepting and helpful hosts!

New Modern Cottage with Ocean Views & Wildlife

MackenzieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We can’t say enough good things about this stay. We came for our honeymoon, and were met with flowers and a few other treats from the host as a gift. How sweet! As far as the property, the cottage is perfectly sized for two or three, and is designed delightfully. It is on a shared lot with the family’s primary residence , but feels very comfortable and private. A close by walk to the water as well. Inside, you will find everything you could ever need from pots and pans, spices, towels, and the best recommendations for the area. We’d build our own version of this cottage to take home with us if we could. We hope to one day be back and will always remember our amazing time in Harpswell.

1830 Unique Renovated Church for a Great Stay

MicheleRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This 1830s church was everything that was presented and more. I was impressed by the thought that went into little details (like solar lights in the driveway and door, photo album of renovation history, and so much more). Our group was 6 adults and there was plenty of room for all. Larger parties would certainly feel comfortable here. We loved that we were walking distance of town and the area was great/safe for walking. I definitely recommend this home for any family event/occasion and will definitely return if we are in the area.

The Retreat at Crystal Lake Farm

WilRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We wanted a quiet boy's weekend, but didn't want to travel too far from our home in South Portland Maine. My husband and I are in our 50s and my brother is in his 40s and we just wanted to have fun and relax. We found this place on a horse farm and it is perfect. It's cozy and rustic and everything you want a Maine Airbnb to be. We never used the TV. We just cooked food in the awesome kitchen, listened to music and relaxed in good company. Easy check in and check out. Not a crazy list of cleaning chores. Basically, strip the beds and leave it as you found it. Very communicable host as well.

Stunning Views from Spacious Oceanfront Home

AmandaRating, 5 stars18 months ago
Spectacular views from all living areas and bedrooms, lots of spaces both inside and outside to enjoy company and scenery. The kitchen was well appointed and the dining area accommodated the seven of us very comfortably. We saw seals, an eagle, loons and other sea life right from the deck! Jackie, Jim and Bill were all wonderful to interact with and help make our visit pleasant. Bonus was walking to the trails at Wolfs Neck State Park everyday!!! Highly recommend!!
