Holiday rentals with a kayak in Cumberland River

Teresa was very responsive and gave clear instructions. This was a last minute booking for us to visit family during the early spring. This is a country style home with a large kitchen which met our needs perfectly. It is located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to the water. Teresa was a great host and we have since discovered that she has another Airbnb on the water. When we come back in the summer months we may rent that house as she was a terrific host.

Deck is a great size to relax on and watch the local wildlife. Enjoyed kayaks and canoe. Overall a nice quiet neighborhood. Perfect place to get away from a busy life. Bruce makes night time wind down fun and relaxing. Also, assists in making the perfect s’more. Plan on reserving again in the future.

We’ll be coming back! The place is stocked with everything you would need to feel cozy + at home. We spent so much time on the water and curled up with books on the patio. Air bnbs rarely have throw blankets, and we really appreciated having those! Thank you so much!

Highly recommend Matthew’s place! Beautiful area, nice and quiet. Everything we wanted to do in Nashville was close by and it was the perfect centralized location. The home is exactly as pictured and described. Perfect for groups of every size!

An amazing place with an amazing view. Tim communicated from day 1 and was there if needed. Home had plenty of amenities that made you feel at home. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a great place to stay! Would definitely stay again if possible.

I travelled from Illinois to meet family from Alabama for Thanksgiving. It cut everyone's travel time in half. We brought with us all of our groceries and made all our traditional Thanksgiving favorites in the well equipped kitchen. We spent 2 days enjoying family time with a view of the lake. The last night we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire pit. One other comment everyone had was the excellent quality and number of towel available.

This place is a very cute basic place. With the kitchen having the basic appliances. Although it saids it can have 4 people it would have to be a very tight. Would definitely need to be some very close friends with the bathroom door being in the bedroom. The owners are very responsive the closer it was to our stay.

My family will definitely be returning! Love the atmosphere, the setting, and the amenities. It is fun for kids and adults. It is relaxing and peaceful. There is no wifi and little cell service but for me and my family that is a win so we can unplug and spend quality time together. There are certain spots you can obtain cell service to contact loved ones and check in if need be!

This cabin is exactly as described. It looks just like the pictures and the water level of the lake was exactly what they described. This get-a-way was exactly what I needed, kayaks, hammocks, peace and quiet. Driveway is a little tricky/ steep. I would definitely stay here again.

We will definitely be back to Debbie's place! The view was amazing, the cabin was homey and had everything you would need to enjoy the space! The gaming area below was awesome for unwinding on chillier evenings. The deck with the porch swing was perfect for peaceful morning coffee, even with the nearby rooster lol im familiar with the area but this was definitely a hidden gem!

We have stayed here on several occasions when visiting family and we always enjoy our stay at Mark and Patricia’s. Their house is comfy, warm and cozy. Mark and Patricia go over and above providing the home with essentials for their guests and we appreciate it.

Tonya's home was a perfect place for my family to stay while in Ky for a wedding. There was space for everyone and the home had everything we needed.

This place is absolutely amazing! The inside of the house is so beautiful and the beds were comfy. If you love to explore and love kayaking, this is the place for you! There are gorgeous rock formations that you have to climb down to get to the lake, so definitely bring good climbing shoes. There are also two very friendly neighborhood cats that will beg you for food and are obviously familiar with the house.

This was our second stay with Liz. We felt right at home when we walked in. Everything was super comfortable and loved all the afghans. It was so peaceful. Enjoyed coffee on the deck and listening to all the song birds.

This beautiful cabin was perfect for a large family! The view was incredible and the environment was welcoming and very clean! We especially loved the thoughtfulness of the s’mores kit for the kids! Russell was very prompt in responding and making sure we had all the details for our stay! The local grocery mart is about an hour away, so it was helpful he noted that in the description so we could stop and get all of our groceries before heading to the cabin. There were plenty of kitchen supplies, a clean hot tub, board games and a large dining table that the entire family could enjoy. The dock and kayaks were in great shape, great fun to fish! We look forward to visiting this home again. Highly recommend!!

If you want a quiet place to connect with family and nature, this is it. Exactly as described in the listing and the photos show. We enjoyed all the area has to offer, but also found so much joy just hanging out at the cabin! There's some huge bass waiting for the right bait in the lake. In the evening, listen to the sounds of nature and keep an eye out for bear and turkey. We were fortunate enough to spot both this week! Check-in was easy, our hosts left good clear instructions for check out and the entire week was perfect... It went by all too fast! We would love to return again soon!

Had an incredible stay at Carol’s cabin. Perfect lakeside getaway with an incredible view. Carol thought of everything - even had fresh baked bread waiting for us! Worked great for our group of 7. Would absolutely recommend.

Beautiful peaceful cabin that’s very well stocked with everything that you’re going to need for a stay. Our family loved sitting by the fire pit visiting with each other . We plan on staying again in the future.

We had an amazing vacation staying at Russ’s house in Tazewell! The house is beautiful and the view is amazing. The house was exactly like the description and had all the amenities that you would need on vacation! Russ is very friendly and responsive and gave us great local recommendations, especially visiting the Cumberland Gap! We highly recommend this house and would definitely book again!

We booked our stay the same day as check in. Akay was quick to respond and make us feel welcome. The cabin is very cute, cozy, comfortable and perfect for a couple getaway! As with other reviews, I found the bed very comfortable! We didn't use the kitchen, but it seemed fully stocked. You can see the house next door on one side, but it's high up on a hill, so not level. Compared to other cabins in Gatlinburg which are right on top of each other, it felt like more privacy. The sound of the creek was wonderful. THE GAME TABLE!!! That was a game changer for us. We looked forward to coming back at night after a day of exploring to play some fun games! It was really fun! We would definitely stay here again!

We had the most incredible, relaxing time at this cabin! It’s incredibly private and peaceful. The place was clean and updated and besides food we didn’t need to buy anything. Plenty of wood for the fire pit and soaps and laundry detergent and lots more. More space to ourselves than we anticipated which was a great surprise. Lots of relaxing areas to rest such as next to a fire pit or on the dock over the great pond or even on the front porch. Such a peaceful place on the side of the Kentucky river! We would definitely stay here again
