Holiday rentals in Custer County

This was a great location for our family, and the history posted around the house and property was wonderful. The house is older, but that didn't bother us. We loved our walks in the woods, peaceful views of wildlife, and privacy. The location was not far from downtown Custer and not far from many other vacation hot spots. The house has ample WiFi for all your electronic needs. Overall a great place to stay!

We really enjoyed staying at Cheri’s place. The location is extremely private and is surrounded by beautiful grounds and nature. We loved sitting on the deck and seeing the family of deer visit us every morning. The accommodations were beautifully decorated, clean and spacious, and perfect for our two-family party of six people. It is also very conveniently located next to Custer. We would definitely come back and we highly recommend this lovely home to others.

What an amazing stay! Bob met us at check in and gave us a tour of where we would be staying and gave us some local Reccomendations which were great! The house was so spacious and so clean and it felt like the perfect house to be staying in while visiting the black hills. We enjoyed spending time with Diamond the resident horse in the mornings as well! Bob was one of the friendliest hosts we have ever encountered on air bnb!!! His hospitality and welcoming us really made our stay special. The location is great and centrally located to all the black hills attractions and only 25 minutes from Rapid City. The house is the perfect place to relax after being out all day and is surrounded by beautiful views. We really enjoyed our time and wish we could have stayed longer!!

We enjoyed our stay. The host are very responsive if you have any issues. It is very quiet and private. Beautiful deck and lots of space. There were a few little things like the grill was very dirty, the dishwasher was broken and hard to make work, one pull out couch is broken and there was damage to some of the other furniture etc. However, none of it really affected our stay. The driveway is steep and there isn't a lot of yard space, but the home is very large and well stocked with what you need. The Wi-Fi was amazingly fast. There was soap/shampoo etc. in each bathroom, laundry soap, dishsoap, cleaning supplies, spices, coffee etc. The location is on a gravel road and is very close to Custer and pretty centrally located for the area. It was nice to have access to the KOA pools etc. There were two large TV's, a Fooseball table, a full wet bar/kitchen downstairs and an amazing spa tub room. Also, stero through the home and deck. We would definitely recommend the property!

Sadie’s place was the perfect match for our group. It is exactly as described and pictured. The kitchen is very well stocked if you plan to cook meals here. The beds are cozy and the linens were great.Although we never turned on the TV, the living room comfortably sat six plus. We prefer to stay away from town for wildlife viewing if that is a possibility. We had deer, both whitetail and mule deer as well as turkeys every morning and evening. Porch on the front is great for sunrise and the back deck is lovely for sunset. A very black sky allowed for stargazing and counting satellites. We felt right at home. You will be happy you stayed at Sadie’s place.

The Bunk House was a sweet little getaway. Nicely furnished and spacious. Provided a flavor of the Black Hills. Lots of wildlife at our doorstep, and MILLIONS of stars at night. Matt communicated in advance and throughout our stay. Very clean and comfortable.

Highly recommend a stay at Linda’s. I am a 70+ senior citizen and had some concerns about the stairs. Linda alleviated my concerns and even carried the luggage upstairs for us. Her communication before and during our stay was outstanding and prompt. The apartment was comfortable and a welcomed retreat at the end of a busy day. The location was beautiful with forest backing up to the property. Linda’s is located several miles off Hwy 16 and is accessible via a well maintained gravel road. Look for deer at night! If I’m in the area again, would definitely plan on booking Linda‘s place.

We had a great time staying at this location. The view of Mt Rushmore was amazing every morning. Very peaceful setting. The house is very unique and interesting, amazing deck. Kitchen was well stocked which is helpful as restaurants will be a bit of a drive. The tower is very special. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee while taking int the amazing views. Tina and the owner were responsive to any issues that came up. Great hosts.
