An old Castle by the sea

Les murs défensifs ont été construits entre 1413 et 1421, protégeant l'ancien village et les hameaux environnants. Ce "château", situé près de l'église paroissiale était occupé par des familles nobles comme les Castriota Scanderbeg à partir de 1495, sous Ferdinand d Aragon. Les fortifications remontent à la période médiévale pour se défendre contre les invasions sarrasines et barbares. Il a été restauré délicatement "dans son jus" par les propriétaires actuels.
