The old village school

The old school/schoolmaster's house is on the edge of a tiny village where there's no shop, no café, so you’ll need a car. It's very rural here, with views across the gently undulating countryside from the school. Two small towns with supermarkets - La Machine and Cercy-la-Tour, are both about 11 kilometres away. Decize, a much larger town on the Loire, is about 18 km away. There are two double bedrooms, and another small one with a triple-layer bunk bed suitable for children.

Simba and I lived here happily for a while and everything was custom-made, according to my tastes. This stable converted into a house with a walled garden was in the past a stable with dog kennel which belonged to the adjacent Chateau Briffaut. It is completely free and high with views over hills and forests, close to the natural park " Morvan ". In the house all the old oak beams are still visible and the old details have been preserved as much as possible, but this house is equipped with a walled garden with palms and olive trees with terrace and jacuzzi.
