The Boathouse is in the most delightful & peaceful creek-side setting, overlooking the water at high tide. A new build in a traditional style it has a stunning balcony with canoes & rowing boat underneath to borrow. Heated by wood burning stove it combines the easy life of being off grid with no tv or internet with the comforts of modern kitchen & bathroom. There is a small mezzanine bedroom accessed by a ships ladder & a bed settee in the living room. This is a fab pad in which to relax.
“Peter made us feel very welcome, travelling from Derby he let us check in early as well, which was great! He had also got a birthday card and balloon for my girlfriend (as we were away for her Birthday) which was a nice touch and bottle of Rose in the fridge waiting for her. The boat house was amazing and the view every morning and evening was incredible. Great place to escape from everything and switch off with the wood burner going. We used the canoe to go out on the river which was a good laugh, didn’t quite make it to the pub in it though (Due to our poor rowing skills!). The locals in the FBI pub were great also and really friendly. Would go back again and 100% recommend to friends and family. Thanks again Peter 👍🏽”
Location, location, location. Situated in the very heart of the village centre on the River Dart, you can explore all of the facilities right from your doorstep as well as having access to the beautiful South Devon coast and countryside. This private ground floor apartment has been lovingly restored from what was the local Post Office for over 100 years. The olde worlde theme is complemented by luxury finishes such as a bespoke kitchen, new ensuite facility and a warm, snug fireplace.
“This is a very well-equipped small apartment in an attractive setting. The hosts are very considerate and helpful, and there is quite a bit of information in the flat about local amenities. There's also a garage (don't try parking on the street, but also don't bring a 4by4!), and pubs and local village shops, including for food, nearby. The village is relatively small, but sustains quite a few local walks (bring your wellies or boots). The region will repay further exploration, and the site is convenient both for coastal visits and for exploring inland Devon. Nearby is Totnes (somewhat trendy) inland along the river Dart, and Paignton (by the sea, .. has known better days, but interesting for a walk also). So yes, definitely recommend.”
Little Greenway is a lovely, cosy holiday home nestled near the River Dart in a small park of privately-owned bungalows just outside the village of Galmpton, Torbay, Devon.
“Access to the property was easy, my husband who is disabled had good access from the parking bay to the property. All rooms were clean and well maintained. The shower was perfect hot and strong. There were plenty of pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. There were plenty of booklets with details of places to visit. If we didn't want to go out for the day to local towns or beaches there were plenty of walks. There was so much to do we didn't have time to see everything. The heating was spot on, if we went out we were able to put it on as soon as we came in and the bungalow heated quite quickly. Loved being there.”
