This house (LA MAISON DES IRIS) offers you an extraordinary location in Southern Burgundy on the border with the Beaujolais. With direct access to world-class wines, beautiful landscapes, rich history and beautiful places. All this within cycling distance of famous wine villages such as Solutré-Pouilly, Fuissé, Saint-Vérand, Vergisson and picturesque villages such as Milly Lamartine, La Roche Vineuse, Verzé. In June, July and August, the house is only rented from Saturday to Saturday.

Our cottage was partly renovated by us to make it a welcoming and relaxing place. This old barn where my grandfather and then my dad pressed the grapes, from this time there remains the screw of the press which proudly stands in the center of the living room. Activities: walks in the woods and vineyards, fishing, Azé and Blanot caves, medieval castles, Cluny stud farm.

Come and discover the charm of Southern Burgundy, in Igé. Our studio, completely separate from our home, with a private terrace, will ensure tranquility and comfort during your stay. Parking is available in our private courtyard, a remote control to open the gate is provided. Our house is 15 minutes from the highway, Mâcon, 15 minutes from Cluny, 20 minutes from Roche de Solutré. Towels and bed linen are provided.

Near Cluny (6km) and Taizé (9km), 25 minutes from Macon, 22 minutes from the motorway at Macon and my preferred route if you travel from the North is the D981 through Buxy and Cormatin, the wine route which is magnificent, particularly in October, a sea of gold.
