Fantastic venue. My partner and I booked this quiet getaway to celebrate new years. It had the peace and quiet we were after. The host was also very accommodating answering any questions we had. We highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for a quiet getaway with a great and reaponsive host. 5/5 stars.

Absolutely lovely cottage, even better than the photos. Host also provided amenities and fresh bread which was such a treat, really cute get away for a short stay. Only thing to note is that the main road is close so you will hear cars driving past all night and windows face the public/ other guests.

We had a great experience staying at this cozy cabin. The gravel road leading up to it was a bit rough, but manageable. The peaceful isolation and forest surroundings were exactly what we were looking for, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. One of the highlights was seeing alpacas in the morning, which was a fun and unique experience. The fireplace added to the cozy atmosphere, and while the cabin isn’t luxurious, it has all the essentials you need for a relaxing weekend getaway. We did notice the water in the spa was a little cloudy and came across a few spiders in the cabin, but nothing too unexpected for a place in the woods. A nice touch was the collection of board games, which we really enjoyed playing. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and a great spot for those looking to unplug and unwind.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt incredibly cozy. One of the absolute highlights was the spa tub — the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring. It was clean, spacious, and made the whole experience feel extra luxurious. The location couldn’t have been better — close to everything but still quiet enough to feel like a relaxing retreat. Shops, restaurants, and attractions were all just a short walk or drive away. Liz was also very responsive and thoughtful, making check-in seamless and the whole stay stress-free. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a bit of indulgence!

Thanks for having us! We had such a wonderful time! The place is well-furnished, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. Our toddler had an amazing time exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, picking fresh strawberries and veg, and enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast. It was such a lovely getaway and farm experience for our family including our dog. :) We would highly recommend!

The Observatory Cottages at the top of Mt Dandenong has been the place to stay in the ranges for years, and with good reason! We last visited Ironbark cottage 20 years ago and we loved it this time as we did two decades ago. It’s extremely cosy and private and you can easily spend a whole weekend at the cottage without leaving! The spa and gas log fire place are highlights, adding to the warm and cozy vibe. Penny leaves great provisions for a cooked breakfast for two mornings and there’s a kitchen if you feel like staying in. She has great communication and is very responsive if you need her for anything. A beautiful choice for a weekend of R&R. Highly recommended.

We stayed here before and after our wedding. What a little slice of paradise. Sitting on the balcony, listening to the birds in the morning was a lovely reminder to slow down and soak in this beautiful place. Direct access to the winery and only a short 10 minute drive from our wedding venue. The rooms are fantastic and bathrooms are just something else! Beautiful home and beautiful host. This is the seventh time we have stayed at Shaun’s Cottage. Shaun has always been a fabulous host and on this particular occasion our visit was due to the passing of a family member and Shaun was extremely flexible with us as we needed to change our booking at the last minute and he even went as far as to offer condolences and leave beautiful flowers for us. Above and beyond as a host so thank you Shaun.

We absolutely loved our stay at 'The Cottage' Location was absolutely perfect, we were able to walk to restuarants/cafes, shops, playground and the steam train. We instantly felt relaxed and comfortable, and the kids were excited about the mountain of lego and the teepee. Decor, including towels and bedding was divine, and the kitchen was well stocked with coffee and tea, and had all the conveniences you could need, including kids plates, bowls and cutlery. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay in this property. This is the perfect location if you like coffee and if you have a dog. There is a park across the road for the dog to play in. Yarraville is a very dog friendly area. The house was very comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

Judith and Paul’s cottage was perfect for our stay in Healesville with our 15 month old son. The property was clean, tidy and had lots of amenities that were important to us as a young family, such as outlet covers, children’s toys, books and tableware. The back deck and gardens were stunning and provided a perfect spot to unwind. In terms of location the cottage is a short 6 minute drive to the Healesville sanctuary, and a short drive into town where there are lots of shops, cafes and parks. We can see why this property would be ideal if you have a dog! We will be recommending the property to our friends who like to travel with their pets.

The place is exactly as described. It had beautiful picture window looking at the forest. Our toddler was super stoked with all the toys, kids bed and play area. It was close to shops and easy to get around. Overall, the house has clectic style and well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Our stay at this beautiful Kinglake cottage was truly special. Peaceful, charming, and surrounded by stunning views, it had everything we needed—comfy bed, a cozy interior, and thoughtful little touches throughout. The real standout, though, was the hosts—so warm, generous, and attentive. From seamless communication to a pantry stocked with necessities, they made us feel incredibly welcome. Watching the sheep, alpacas and goats wander the fields and the beautiful sunset and sunrise made it even more magical. And the dogs milli-moo and jackaroo were absolute angles. A perfect escape—we can’t wait to come back! We will be recommending it to everyone!

We had a fantastic stay at Jess's place. It's a gorgeous house in a stunning location and perfect for a weekend away with a group of people. Jess was fabulous at communicating and I would definitely stay again. (The bed in the main bedroom was insanely comfy!)

Charlotte’s Country Cottage is fantastic. It is situated in vibrant Brunswick, between Lygon Street and Sydney Road. Yet, it is a super private and in a quiet location, accessed down a locked private pathway, servicing only 2 properties. I felt super safe, given I was at Charlottes Country Cottage by myself, out all day and returning alone at night. The Cottage was immaculate, ultra clean, exactly as represented by the photos. When next back in Melbourne, I definitely know where I’m staying.

Laughing Kookaburra was just a delightful place to stay. We were there for a wedding at Avalon Castle but wished we could have stayed longer. Clean, comfortable, all the amenities we needed- and more. We loved it & the local birds that came to visit.

This was my second stay at Tanya’s beautiful cottage and it only reaffirmed what I already felt last year. This is my absolute favourite place to stay in Bacchus Marsh. Returning felt like coming home. Tanya has maintained the same impeccable standards of comfort, style and attention to detail. Every corner of the property still radiates warmth, care and thoughtful design. It is rare to find a space that consistently exceeds expectations but this cottage truly does. Thank you again Tanya for creating such a special haven. I already look forward to coming back next time.

Naomi was a wonderful host! The Forest cottage was in a serene location and was a great place to unwind for the weekend. It was a short drive to some beautiful towns in the Dandenong and the sound of the kookaburras and the bubbling creek was a lovely soundscape to kick off our relaxing stay!
