We loved our stay at Karen's. Cosy and pretty flat with everything you need. Well equipped and felt very homely. Great location for exploring Herefordshire and very beautiful countryside just outside on your doorstep! Lovely walks and peaceful setting. Karen was super friendly, helpful and kind. Such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. It was a good size for our family of four and had everything we needed. The whole place is so tastefully decorated and we felt completely at home during our short stay. We initially had some problems with the heating, but Catherine was very responsive and kindly sorted everything out for us, despite being on holiday herself. Great location close to Hay and stunning views. We’d love to return!

We were met by Christine and the beautiful Danny (super friendly Golden Retriever). Christine is so friendly and helpful and it was so relaxing being able to just let our own two dogs run free around the secure garden. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking and kindly had tea, coffee and milk available. There was also plenty of room to house two dog beds. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board available (not that we used them!) and 2 camp chairs for sitting outside, which we did use! Really nice space to enjoy a quite break and we all fell in love with Danny, who gives the best cuddles, we'll be back for that alone! We visited the Nags head for food which was about a 5 min drive. They don't allow dogs in but the weather was nice enough to sit outside and food was good. There is a local village shop and pub (The Boughton - really friendly) and restaurant (Food for Thought - we didn't go in) which is around 12 mins walk. We had a lovely time and look forward to visiting again.

This cottage is delightful in every way. Wonderfully situated opposite lovely St Mary's Church, with a beautiful garden ideal for sitting reading in the sun. Every amenity, and everything of the highest standard. It's the perfect base to explore Hay and the surrounding area. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house.
