Welcome to our "seagull house" located in the Grimsdalen valley, with a short distance to both mountain hikes and swimming opportunities. Here you have the opportunity to relax completely in the silence you get in the mountains, or spend the days on long walks in the mountains. There are also opportunities for swimming right next to the cottage. There is no running water or solid electricity. A small solar panel system is installed to get some light at the cabin in the evenings. There is also a gas stove so the cooking possibilities are there.

Sæter at Gardsenden- Dovrefjell

Sæter for rent at Gardsenden on Dovrefjell perfect for family, hunters or lovers who want a stay surrounded by magnificent nature. There are two sets on the same set, and there is an option to rent both sets. There is an outhouse on the property. There is freshly washed bed linen that you have to put on the bed yourself. When you leave, take off the bed linen and put it on the floor. You must bring your own towel. The road to the cabin is closed from about November to April/May. Must then go in there on skis in the winter.

Fishing in Kvitdalsvatna or at Hjerkinndammen. 4 km to Hjerkinn station. By car it is 35 min to Oppdal, 25 min to Dombås and about 15 min to the nearest store (Dalholen).

There is a road to our cabin, summer and autumn, while you have to park 60 m from the cabin in the winter. There is electricity, running water, toilet and shower. In the winter you will have access to many miles of prepared ski trails and alpine slopes nearby.

We live on a small farm with pets and a kitchen garden. On the edge of the courtyard in the courtyard is a single-family home from 1979. The house is family friendly and has great views. Grimsdalen is an idyllic sitting valley between Dovre and Folldal. Here you can relax and find tranquility in great nature, with many opportunities for activities and trips. Our seating house in seatgrenda Tverrlisetra has a good and cozy atmosphere, but with modern amenities to make the stay easier. Here it is self-catering, but with solar panel, gas stove and running water. From Tverrlisetra you can find many hiking destinations in easy hiking terrain just outside the door.

Cozy cabin at Grimsdalen

Great location year-round. The nearest ski lift is 30 minutes away, but cross-country trails pass right by the cabin, giving easy access to winter activities. In summer, enjoy hiking south toward Rondane or north toward Dovrefjell. The cabin is just below the tree line, close to the toll road to Grimsdalsvegen. To prepare the cabin, we send a website in advance with info and options to pre-order bed linen, towels, firewood, EV charging, and more. These are not included.
