Monthly Rentals in Dowland

We loved Lemon Cottage. There were some lovely extras left by the host to make us feel welcome and at home. The cottage was clean and homely and cosy. We had a wonderful few days. Thank you!

Such a beautiful cottage, both inside and out. High end finish with everything you could need. Lovely warm welcome from Kim and Simon. Also must be the best directions we’ve ever had! The cottage is lovely and warm, quality bedding, comfy sofas, great bathroom, gorgeous kitchen. It was absolutely immaculate and we loved the welcome pack. Even treats for the dogs! Also useful things like hand wash, hand towels at all sinks, dishwasher tablets, washing up sponge and cloth, little things that actually make a lot of difference. Gorgeous, safe, fenced off garden. There is even a field to walk the dogs with mowed pathways. We also enjoyed the walk down through the fields and lane into Dolton where we had a nice meal at The Rams Head. Had another nice meal at The Kings Arms in nearby Winkleigh (10 min drive). Great location within easy reach of all the lovely North Devon beaches. Huge bonus for us were the EV chargers they had which we could use. Fabulous cottage, highly recommend to all!

Absolutely superb stay to switch off and relax. We loved the fact it was so private.... peaceful and away from the crowds. Stunning cottage and it had everything you needed. Claire was so helpful and made us feel welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed the scones and fizz....what a lovely touch! The spa was fabulous...we used it every day! Garden was great for our dog, very secure. My sister and I had a lovely stay at Wagtails whilst we explored the area . It was peaceful and quiet with a wonderful variety of birds to hear . Johanne was a friendly helpful host , we enjoyed chatting with her and her son , who helpfully help us with our luggage . Ideal situation for family and dogs . Would recommend highly
