Excellent location, and the place was a good size and comfortable. We had to contact the owners on arrival for a small issue but this was resolved extremely quickly and the rest of the stay was trouble free.

We had a lovely stay at maple cottage. Hosts were very accommodating and good at replying whenever we had a query. House was very clean and homely and had everything we needed- do not have a bad word to say about it. Perfect location to local shops and restaurants and not too far from the lake itself, definitely would recommend and will be looking to stay here again when we next come to visit the lakes 😍

Ideal location for Windermere, especially if you don't drive so need public transport to be close by and easily accessible. James's place was nice and cosy, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. There's also plenty around the area for eating, drinking, great coffee, and anything else you might need. A great base for local hiking as well.

Ash Cottage is in a quiet residential area but easy to walk into the village centre. The house is very comfortable. Steve was kind enough to adjust the heating for us from his phone app when it was chilly. He even surprised us with a mid-stay visit to check all was well. The roses in the kitchen were a lovely touch. We would recommend for a long or short stay.
