Enjoy the exposed stonework, oak beams and antique furniture you can relax indoors or outdoors on our Moroccan inspired patio. A gas fired BBQ or an open grill plus a fire pit weather permitting dine alfresco after a well-earned soak in the hot tub. On your doorstep several local Pubs will offer genuine local hospitality. Last but not least a great garden for your kids and pets! The Barn at the Old Golden Lion is equidistant between the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful North Devon coast North to South, & again equidistant between Dartmoor and Exmoor East to West making this the perfect location to discover the whole of beautiful Devon. Guests have independent and exclusive access to the barn and full access to the garden. We are a family of four and two dogs (chihuahua and a desert dog we brought over from Dubai) and two cats. The Barn at the Old Golden Lion sits in a quintessential Devon village with a medieval church, a pub, and a village store on your doorstep. The location is equidistant between the Jurassic Coast and the beautiful North Devon coast and between scenic Dartmoor and Exmoor. There are plenty of local walks or let us help you plan day trips to suit your tastes and preferences. Ideal location to enjoy this part of Devon or just relax in the peace and quiet of this rural gem. If you need to fly out we have two Airports close by: Bristol Airport - 56 miles and 65 minutes Exeter Airport - 16 miles and 20 minutes If you prefer to go by Train we also have two choices: Tiverton Parkway 14 minutes London Paddington 2 hrs 10 mins Honiton 20 minutes - London Waterloo 3hrs 5 mins There is a primary school next door in the village, close enough to hear some playground activity from the garden.

Country House on a Farm

Converted barn in 100 acres of land. A home from home crammed with books, games and toys. Easily accommodates at least 10 people comfortably. The garden, pond, woods and parking areas are all exclusively yours for the stay. We live up the lane from the barn. So you have privacy. We have chickens, ducks, Sheep and pigs on the farm. 5 mins drive from J28 of the M5. 20mins from Exeter centre. Not near any good beaches so don't choose us for a beach holiday. There is no spa or hot tub.
