As soon as we arrived we felt at home in the rustic, comfortable cottage and couldn’t wait to explore the interesting and varied garden and surrounds. Robert and George are very helpful and friendly . We’d happily go back if the opportunity arose again.

The photos didn't do it justice, it was far better than we expected. This incredible home is right on the shoreline. There was a lot of space for the whole family. We loved every minute of our stayed. We were spoilt with a rare elephant seal sighting and a springbok on the beach. This stay was definitely one for the books and we highly recommend it.

An amazing place to stay and so peaceful. The views were out of this world especially from the balcony. The sunset that we had one evening was stunning. I would say that it was approached down a track from the main road that took a good 10 minutes, it was worth it though. Also take supplies with you as there aren’t any shops and the golf club closes at 5 and on a Monday all day. We did have food with us so it wasn’t a problem. Otherwise it’s back down the track again and beyond for an evening meal. It’s a beautiful place with good bed linen and plenty of towels. We asked for a hair dryer and it was provided. Megan was very responsive and an excellent host.

Eersterivier is - in our view - one of the most exquisite places in South Africa. This wonderful house only added to our joy.
