In our beautiful fenced private garden, you will enjoy the many bird species.

Het Gouden Eiland is located in the annex of a beautiful city villa on the outskirts of the historic village center of Parkstad Veendam. This neighborhood is known as Het Gouden Eiland, a villa neighborhood with houses built in the period 1910-1930. Het Gouden Eiland is in a quiet leafy neighborhood with tall oak trees and wide streets. Stadskanaal is located on the outskirts of Drenthe and Westerwolde. From here, you can reach the city of Groningen or Assen within 45 minutes by car. Leer or Oldenburg in Germany is also within reasonable reach. From Stadskanaal, there are beautiful cycling routes in Drenthe or Westerwolde. The fortified town of Bourtange is of course also worth a visit. Stadskanaal has restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
