Enjoy a variety of nearby walking trails and exceptional tourist attractions (Puy-de-Dôme and the Auvergne volcanic chain, Vichy, the ‘Queen of Spa Towns’, charming little villages such as Châteldon or Charroux, etc.).

Cottage with studio and great views

House with beautiful studio/living space, flooded with light and with lovely views. A master bedroom with double bed and a double sofa bed in the main living area. A mezzanine area provides a further two single beds. A fully-equipped kitchen with a wood-burning stove. It also has a lovely terrace and gardens. Situated just 500m ( 10 minute walk) from the Auberge de Chassignolles with its amazing restaurant. There is an additional 70 m² yoga/dance studio that can be rented separately.

Maison Marguerite, near a lake

La Maison marguerite vous accueille dans un environnement paisible. Ce gîte était initialement une ferme en pierre du 18ème siècle entièrement rénovée. Le Mouy vieux est situé juste à côté du village du Vernet la Varenne. Vous y trouverez un marché hebdomadaire, une boucherie, un petit supermarché, une pharmacie, un tabac, un bar, une boulangerie... Randonnées, lac de plaisance, accrobranche, ferme pédagogique ... de nombreuses activités authentiques vous attendent toute autour.

Need to go green? Come and recharge your batteries away from noise, lights and pollution in this 1812 retreat where greenery, old stones, old wood await you, but with all modern comforts. Wifi permanently cut off (except in emergencies) for less frequent disturbances, no TV but video projectors for movie buffs. Large kitchen, living room and shared bathroom. Rentable by the room (3 bedrooms and 3 different prices) or as a self-catering cottage (I live in another building).

Starting point for many hikes, mountain biking or cycling, you will enjoy the calm and soothing atmosphere, with its wooded and forest environment. In the village are all the necessary shops as well as 2 restaurants and a heated pool. Ideally located 10 minutes from Highway 89, you will be less than 1 hour from Lyon and Clermont Ferrand.
