Monthly Rentals in Eskdale

We (2 adults, 2 children & 1 baby) stayed at Smithy Cottage for 5 nights over the new year. What a beautiful cottage that felt like a home from home.. Whole house was spotless, kitchen was well equipped with everything needed to make a decent meal, good supply of logs for the burner, shower was powerful, beds were comfy and the kids loved the cosy upstairs twin room over looking the living room. Really loved the dishwasher & washing machine as we’ve returned home with no washing at all!! Within the first night we knew we’d be back to stay again. It’s a very quiet & peaceful area with a lovely stream running down the back of the cottage. Madonna was away during our stay but still communicated very well and Anna was always on the other end of the phone for any questions that needed to be asked. Couldn’t have asked for a better end to the year at smithy cottage. Thank you Madonna for your hospitality, we can’t wait to return!

The cottage was lovely - great location, very well equipped. Soraya met us when we arrived, and when she saw we had brought bicycles she offered to let us store them in the shed, which we hadn't expected - this was much appreciated, as the weather was fairly typical for the lake District!

Had a lovely time staying in this beautiful house. Wendy was so accommodating even when we mistakenly locked ourselves out.
