We are delighted to invite you to our ancient, and completely renovated, "Il Gallo" (the rooster) Bed and Breakfast in the Tuscan hillside above the walled Roman town of Lucca. After a 15 minute drive up from Lucca you will find yourselves surrounded by olive groves with stunning views out over the mountainsides and valleys. Your room After leaving your car in the shade of the olive trees, after just a few steps you will be at the private entrance to your romantic bedroom with lovely views from every window - even from the shower! There is an en-suite bathroom complete with toiletteries and hairdryer. There is a small pantry with a fridge, microwave, kettle and necessities to prepare a picknick and/or aperitivo to be enjoyed on your terrace. Ceiling fan for hot summer nights!

The accommodation is located on a country farm, a 5-minute drive from the center of Volterra. After Porta Diana, take a short stretch of the Municipal road of S. Margherita until you reach a dirt road, the sign Bosco dell'Iris Nero leads you, along a 900-meter path, to the location. Here there are chestnut trees, olive trees, flowers and a pleasant view of the valley. You can meet roe deer, porcupines and wild boars. The cuckoo, the hoopoe, and the woodpecker inhabit the surrounding forest.

The house is hidden in a small medieval village in the Norther Tuscany, Brucciano, among the tranquility of the woods and mountains of Garfagnana's area. The apartment is at the second floor WITHOUT lift (35 stairs). It is at 200 m of Ponte Vecchio, Piazza Signoria, at 100 m from the Uffizi Gallery.... FREE WI-FI, air condition in the bedrooms and washmachine, wash dishes, hair dry.... if you need more than one apartment in the same area ask me!
