I stayed at The Hayloft whilst looking for a place to rent of my own, the house became like my home and I truly enjoyed the peacefulness of the countryside and how private it felt. The house was pristine and they had a newly renovated bathroom and kitchen, it was amazing to get a chance to use their place as a stepping stone. I would’ve loved to have stayed on. The hosts were extremely nice and responded to all my queries, I’ll definitely be back and would recommend them to everyone I know and don’t know!

I stayed here for a month and had everything I needed. Stephen and Randall have been very kind and I really enjoyed our chats. They made me feel right at home. The annex is as described and very quiet so I could work undisturbed. Perfect base to explore Oakham, Stamford and Rutland Water from. I would stay again and can highly recommend it.

A magical little escape in Uppingham! From the moment we arrived, this cozy cottage wrapped us in warmth. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was packed with brilliant books and an epic DVD collection 📚🎬 — perfect for winding down. The garden was a dream 🌿 — lovingly designed with beautiful plants and even an apple tree you can pick from when in season 🍏. The bed was so comfy 🛏️, the view stunning, and the furniture full of character. The walk-in shower was lovely 🚿 and fully stocked too. So many thoughtful extras throughout — even the TV setup was fab 📺. Don’t miss the Heritage Trail, especially the sweet little addition at South View (ask Marc) — such a personal touch 🗺️. We left feeling peaceful, inspired, and grateful ✨
