Of the 6 different places we stayed during our time in Iceland, this was our favorite! A well equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable and just an overall great place to stay.

Such a beautiful setting, authentic and peaceful. They allowed us to hike the property, up to the waterfall and through the hills. absolutely picturesque. If you are looking for a stay on a farm that allows you to see back in time what Iceland felt and looked like 50 years ago, the peace and tranquility, unplugged from the world, this is it. That is in addition to the amazing view across the valley to the Atlantic Ocean, unlimited hot water from the ground, and delicious fresh water for drinking. Highly recommended.

We booked the Grund Guesthouse as the first stop upon arrival in Iceland for an 8 day road-trip with a group of 8 friends. We booked the accomodation for two nights and we were very positively surprised; being with a group of 8, we had the whole house to ourselves! What we really enjoyed was the additional huge 'summer room' in the back of the building, which was perfect for breakfast and dinner with our group! Highly recommendable!
