Walden is located in the middle of the unique backdrop landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded banks surround the meadows. With grasslands, water and patches of forest in between. It looks cosy, those grasslands between the trees. Smûk, as we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area was also gifted with pingos from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 National Parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. An ideal area for cycling and walking.

Villa Rose (on the waterfront)

Stay in one of the most beautiful villas in Friesland. The entire upper floor is at your disposal. Including bathroom with bath (no bubbles), a living room with luxury sofa and television with Netflix, Videoland and a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and dishwasher. The accommodation is sustainable (hardly any gas use) and equipped with air conditioning in the living room + bedrooms. This can be used for heating in the winter months. By bus or car, you can be in Leeuwarden in no time to shop, go to the bios or have a bite to eat. Dokkum is also recommended, or Groningen.
