Located in the heart of the ancient medina of Fes, DAR 47 is a stylish retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. Whilst retaining its traditional features, the house has been tastefully furnished and fitted with modern luxuries to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay. We have a fabulous team on hand, including our gem of a housekeeper, Khadija (who lives at the house) who prepares a daily breakfast (included in our rates) and dinners on request.

Dar "Le Petit Bijou" is one of the oldest houses in Morocco! This charming cocoon-like house dates from the 14th century and has been entirely renovated for more than 2 years by the best craftsmen of the city with all the noblest materials, such as zellige (handmade tiles), cedar wood, sculpted plaster, tadelakt and wrought iron. The lamps are made of bronze and are totally hand carved, the leather poufs and sofas are from local tanneries.

The entrance showcases a traditional Moroccan doorway leading into a welcoming sitting area. A large tapestry hangs on the wall, with ornate decor pieces and a decorative table illuminated by soft light. Mosaic tiles and a patterned rug enhance the ambiance.
