Monthly Rentals in Fionnphort

Stunning location and well laid out cabin. Very quiet except for the little stream next to the path. As far as I can tell there was nothing on the website that warned there is no fridge freezer. This can be an issue for self catering travellers and we may not have booked if we'd known. As there are only 2 power outlets which need to be used sparingly a battery operated wall clock would also be useful.

My partner and I stayed on the island for 4 nights over Easter weekend, and were completely enchanted by Gometra and the bothy. It was easier than we expected to get there, with the helpful community transport available on Mull, and the on-demand ferry between Mull and Ulva. A gentle 3.5 hr hike from Ulva Ferry, the bothy was easy to find, located at the foot of a crag with a beautiful view of the coast. The well-stocked honesty shop was around 1km away, making it easy to pick up what we needed for meals each day. The island was very peaceful, occasionally running into Roc and Rhoda, while Andy kept us well stocked with firewood . Our hosts were very responsive to messages and made a remote stay feel very easy to accomplish! The wood-burning stove was an absolute must, and we enjoyed being off grid and electricity-free for a long weekend of exploring, reading and relaxing.

We loved our stay so much in Neil's place on Mull. Ardtun is incredibly peaceful with beautiful surroundings, so many great walks to do and places to explore in the area and around Mull. The caravan was so cosy, and everything has been so thoughtfully and beautifully put together and works really well - the shower was amazing, the bed was really comfy, and the kitchen very practical with everything you need, and there is plenty of storage, and the stove where we could make a fire when we came in from a cold and windy walk was a very welcome addition, felt so cosy and comforting being in the caravan. Neil is an outstanding host, so helpful and friendly and responsive, gave us loads of information to help us with getting to Mull and general advice and information about the area, was all so useful. Really could not recommend enough visiting Mull and also staying at Neil's place, we loved it so much. Thanks so much Neil :)

An incredible place. I couldn’t have asked for a better location to spend an amazing weekend in Mull in the sunshine. Particular highlights were the deer outside the window in the morning, a golden eagle flying overhead, and incredible sunsets every evening. Thank you so much to Celia and family for being so welcoming and having me. A weekend I won’t forget for a long time!
