Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Close to downtown Wasilla and only minutes away from restaurants. Take a 30 min drive to the top of Hatcher’s Pass and visit the Independence Mine and take a scenic drive over to Willow. Take a 1 hr drive to Talkeetna. Or go the opposite direction 1.5 hrs to Matanuska Glacier and take a guided tour out on the glacier! NO SMOKERS please as we live here as well and don’t enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke around our home. Thank you.

A small cabin built like a studio apartment. Very roomy and homey — quaint, quiet and simple. There’s a garden with fresh greens and herbs for your enjoyment and world class hiking and skiing within 10 minutes. Palmer and Wasilla are 15 minutes away. There’s a large parking area and shed with fun outdoor gear to use, as well as a wood burning cedar sauna. Though we ask that you request/message before using it. Want pets? In-law suite built in 2021, attached to garage/shop. 15 minute drive to Palmer or Wasilla and a short distance to the beauty of Hatcher Pass, only an hour outside of Anchorage. The suite has a private entrance, full bath, queen bed, TV, and wifi. The kitchenette has a small fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, hot plate, and basic tableware. This is a great base location to explore Alaska with easy driving to hiking, fishing and local tourist attractions.
